I tried Be the Zombie mode but it couldn't find a match to join. Lame.

Night time is hard.

Looks like a few reviews are coming in.

Jim Sterling didn't like it. Gave it a 5/10.
Destructoid gave it a 7/10.
Attack of the Fanboy gave it a 4/5.

I would give it an 8/10 based on what I have seen so far. It feels intense when you are looking down from a rooftop and see a swarm of zombies you have to make it through to your next destination. Plus, I have had a few zombies wiggle their way up and over walls and to higher ground to surprise me. I have noticed quite a bit of clipping from the zombies and their interactions with fences, etc.

I loved the first area of Dead Island. But the leveling difficulty of the zombies took all the fun out of later stages. Does this employ a similar system?

so i'm still on the fence with this game. the footage i've seen looks real good and fun and the kinda game it looks like i would get into, but got so much in the hopper don't even know when i would start this and i really want to start up the RE remake.

so for those that have it...worth $60?

Anyone that's playing this game, be sure to download the companion app. You get lots of free items/materials to use in the game from using it. It's a typical Facebook game where you send out scouts to do missions which take X amount of time, and then once they are finished you get the rewards.

I find myself trying to get a few points at night just for the hell of it. I found a spot right by a safe zone and unloaded a rifle on a volatile. Didn't help. The bastard kept on going.

My copy just arrived from Game Fly yesterday- a full five days after it shipped. Haven't had a chance to try it yet.

It pains me to answer this for you since you can find the answer in 5 seconds on Google, but you can get it in a few hours in the game, once it allows you to go outside the main building.

I would not worry about that Excalibur weapon. It does a lot of damage early but only has 7 durability and no repairs. Even if you upgrade its durability and are high enough level to have upgrades that make weapons last longer it only survives a few fights. By the time you get enough upgrades to make it last longer than 5 minutes weapons are higher damage anyway.

Flaws aside, I am having a blast with this game. I have maybe 16 hours in it and I am still only 14% done with the main story.

fox, if you don't mind, what are the flaws in the game that you see/deal with?

This game is definitely on my watch list but right now I'm still playing Far Cary 4. I'll wait a month or two and see what kind of changes/improvements have been made before I decide if I still want this one.

Dying Light Bug Deleting Loot and Resetting Levels

Players are reporting a serious problem with Dying Light that deletes acquired items, blueprints, money and levels. Essentially, it’s resetting entire characters.

The exact cause of the bug is not yet known, but numerous players across a range of forums, including our own, have reported the issue. Some believe it is caused by quitting straight after sleeping in the game, while others have reported the same happening after playing in co-op. The reports relate to both the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions of the game.

“Gotta say I was really enjoying this game until I just lost all my stuff and my levels reset after 15 Hours of play,” said Capt Harris on the XBA forums. He continued, “You loose all your gear, blueprints and your levels all reset but your mission progress doesn’t."

“One annoying thing I found trying to carry on and re-level is you loose your medkit blueprint which is obtained through the first mission. [I’ve] Lost all interest to restart, have lost so many collectables.”

Techland does not appear to have acknowledged the problem as yet. We’ve contacted a Techland representative for comment.

I guess I will backup my game saves after each play and make sure I keep at least two files available. Ugh!
