Re: Game of the generation -360 (From TA)
I voted on this list, and I'm very happy with the outcome other than the fact that Dark Souls should be at least 20 spots higher.
For those who like stats, here's an interesting and pretty thorough breakdown of the voting. |
Re: Game of the generation -360 (From TA)
That is a mildly confusing topic. Game of the Generation minus three hundred and sixty? Shouldn't it just be "Best game on the Xbox 360" ?

No Mirror's Edge or Burnout Paradise.

Re: Game of the generation -360 (From TA)
This list is clearly Bias. Not one PS3, PC, or Wii Game?!

In our biggest voting event yet, we travelled through the life of the Xbox 360 and showcased the best it has to offer. The breathtaking stories of Commander Shepard, Marcus Fenix, Ezio Auditore and John Marston (amongst others) will live on long after this generation has ended. Im not sure what the next generation holds, but whatever lays ahead its clear that the Xbox One has some very large boots to fill. |

Re: Game of the generation -360 (From TA)
I played the first Bioshock and thought it was a ground breaking game but...
No Gears in the Top 5...no-way. Gears probably had more influence on 360 console purchases than even Halo. And just like Bioshock, AC and even Borderlands it had a tremendous impact and not just gaming. Gears sold the Unreal Engine. And even Borderlands should be higher...one of my best blind buys and it to was something not seen. Halo 3 was the best of the series and same with COD 4: MW. Mass Effect 3 should be higher as it was leaps & bounds over ME2. Red Dead...somewhere in that 4-8 slot |
Re: Game of the generation -360 (From TA)
Can't really argue with that this. Wished Tomb Raider was on there though.
|
Re: Game of the generation -360 (From TA)
All three Mass Effects on the list? Bullshit. The first was better in idea than execution, and the third one falls apart at the end. The second one is the only game that should be on there.
But more importantly, no Deadly Premonition, no sale! |
Re: Game of the generation -360 (From TA)
Borderlands 1/2 is too low. Infinite could be stricken from the list entirely to make room for something else. They could have coupled franchises with them placing next to or near other entries in the series like Borderlands, Batman and Gears 1-3.
I loved what I've played of Walking Dead, but Pac-Man CE or Geometry Wars 2 not in the top 5 XBLA? For shame. |

Re: Game of the generation -360 (From TA)
I don't have any major issues with the list, everyone's top 25 would probably be slightly different, especially in the top 5 or 10. I like all 3 Mass Effect games, although 3 might be one i'd drop. Infinite was one of my favorite games on the generation, so I'm glad that's on there. I'd sneak Tomb Raider on there too.

Re: Game of the generation -360 (From TA)
I have never played a Mass Effect game.
The Gears games are my favorite Xbox exclusives. |
