Brave is a "Better with Kinect" game, where there's an option to use the Kinect in part of the game (archery), but it's not required.

I highly doubt Microsoft will ever give out a "Kinect required" game with GwG, not the least because such games wouldn't be playable on XB1 via BC.

Here's lists of the 360 Kinect games, both retail and XBLA:

Re: Xbox One: S $249 Now / X $499 November 7 2017

Is anyone here goofing around with the Sea of Thieves closed beta? I fired it up, but after a couple minutes of 'searching the seas' spinning seemingly endlessly, I ducked out, so I haven't actually played the game yet.

It's one of those things where I think it looks neat but don't think it's for me, so I'm eager to poke around with it first. I thought the same thing about Destiny and Overwatch and wound up being obsessed with both of those games, so I'm wondering if I'm wrong-in-a-good-way again or what.

I played some in last weekend's scale test. Once by myself, and the other times with a matchmaking random person (always selecting the 2-man Sloop ship). There is only one faction available in the beta/scale test so the quest I seen were all alike (Treasure Maps). I enjoyed the time I spent with it.

The videos I have at least watched playing looks like it will be fun. Hoping that with Gamepass a lot more people will be trying it out that would not have and that it will have a better shot of making it.

Speaking of Game Pass, people in the new dashboard Alpha are reporting that there is an option to subscribe for a year at the price of $60. Good news for folks who didn't buy a bunch of $4.99 months during the Valentines sale.

Well it turns out this controller ended up being super-rare and in high demand. And as ridiculous as this sounds, that somehow made me want to get it. It was going in and out of stock at the Microsoft store yesterday and for whatever reason, I jumped on it when it came back in stock, even though the last thing I need is another XO controller. Lord help me, I've become this guy :

Anyway, I will report back on how it is. It already shipped.

That's a pretty controller though. I might need another controller soon if my toddler keeps messing with my Forza one (and dropping it because he's still a little bit of a butterfingers). At least I'm smart enough to keep my elite away from him.

BTW, Hitman: Blood Money and Lego Star Wars III: Clone Wars were added to backwards compatibility today.

... or $4.99/mo if you have Game Pass.

I didn't like the first one much at all, but hey, it's something for me to play via Game Pass so I will check it out.

I really want this one but $80 w/o the rubber grips is asinine.

Well, on the website they use this description :

Built for comfort
Textured grips, responsive thumbsticks, and an enhanced D-pad add extra comfort and performance.

Now I don't know if that means rubberized grips, but I can tell you for sure tomorrow.

edit : Here's an unboxing. Looks like it isn't rubber in the back though

At that point, save up another $75 and get the new/revised Elite controller once they announce it.

After spending $40 on that Forza 6 controller, I don't think I would want to use anything else. I kinda wish I would have bought a second one to have a spare. It actually feels perfect.

^ That blue Forza one is my go-to controller as well. I've said it before but I don't find the Elite that comfortable. It's too heavy and I would have much preferred metal triggers to metal thumbsticks.

Microsoft has confirmed that State of Decay 2, the zombie-survival RPG from Undead Labs, will release on May 22 for the Xbox One family of consoles as well as Windows PC as a Play Anywhere title. It will also be available that day on Xbox Game Pass. Furthermore, Microsoft also confirmed a price point of $29.99USD/$49.95AUD for the standard edition and $49.99USD/$69.95AUD for the Ultimate Edition.

On the subject of the lower-than-expected price, Microsoft GM of Games Marketing Aaron Greenberg said, “Our goal is to build a long-term relationship with the State of Decay community and to foster deeper experiences with the franchise. We believe State of Decay 2 accomplishes this goal by immersing fans in the ultimate zombie survival fantasy, and we want to give more players the opportunity to join in and experience this unique game.”

The aforementioned Ultimate Edition will include early access to State of Decay 2 on May 18 and a free Xbox One copy of State of Decay: Year One Survival Edition as well as the Independence Pack and Daybreak Pack DLCs, which will be released at a TBD date.

No to Sea of Thieves unless something really surprising happens in the next couple of weeks. Still a $60 preorder everywhere.

The original State of Decay was also $30 so it makes sense that the sequel is the same price.

Yeah those survival type games rarely are full price. They are usually free or less than $20.

The Collector's Edition for State of Decay 2 has been unveiled, and the wonderfully gory assortment of goodies includes a State of Decay 2 patch, a steelbook case, zombie mask, a thumb drive in the shape of a severed digit, and a human brain steelbook stand. The only thing missing is a copy of the game.
