I'm almost ready to buy Shovel Knight, but I have such a backlog right now, I think I can wait for it to drop again/lower/FwG. This is the same argument I have with Ori and myself.

"Day One Version"? I can't remember if that's an in-game reference to the Locust's original attack or if it's meant to mean "you got this at launch!" or both. Either way, it looks like stupid marketing months later on sale digitally.

The basic Alien or the collection for an extra $2.50?

I was pretty sure I was going to finally spring for The Witcher but got Tomb Raider and Arkham for Christmas, and the Wolfenstein add-on on Black Friday so my backlog is even worse than usual.

Holiday sales kind of suck on console because it's hard to buy gifts for people other than yourself.

If you bought Peggle 2 for the 360, was it going to be made BC for the X1? I wasthinking about picking it up for the 6 bucks but didn;t want to if it was going to be made BC.

so i am still loving the heft and feel of the Elite controller. i am just not so sure i can get used to the bottom bumpers. i know i can take them off, but then the controller seems less than ordinary...

Even if it does, new achievements in that $6 purchase. Plus, it's native for the console so BC will never match that.

I highly doubt cross-platform titles will be made BC. The game studios aren't going to want to eat into their own revenue like that.

I dunno, isn't a remastered Shadow Complex coming out on the One? And Gears of War is forward compatible.

Remastered versions coming out after the BC release is different, since they can't turn off BC after it's been enabled. And with Gears of War, I think MS was more concerned with increasing the number of BC compatible titles than loss of sales. Plus the XB1 is "remastered" and thus offers more.

There are other exceptions. Both Castlestorm and Castle Crashers have both BC and remastered XB1 native versions. But for Peggle 2, I don't see EA enabling BC. I could be wrong, but nothing's been announced, so I wouldn't count on it.
