So it's interesting to note that when you sign back into a 360 after playing games on the One and look at either your achievements or your friends', all you see listed is "Xbox One Games" and a total number of gamerscore. You can't click on it for details.

It ended up being more game related than system related but I wanted to post an update to all the Black Flag problems I was having. I was having major stuttering, could not connect to any Ubisoft features and the companion app was useless. I figured it was partially XBOX One issues and the rest crappy servers. I finally gave up on e-mails and called Ubisoft today. It turns out my Uplay account was an old account that had no e-mail account associated with it, which sounds bizarre to me. The game was trying to work with my old/outdated account and it couldn't. The guy on the phone was SUPER helpful and managed to tie the account I have had for years to an e-mail I have. Once I reset the password on that account every single thing was fixed. The game runs like a dream and I can access all the features including the companion app.

Keep in mind, it's going to depend on the shot type too. Pitch shots will get better spin reaction than normal shots, and chips aren't even worth it.

And you'll need a high Spin ranking for your golfer too.


Speaking of - Who is everyone using? I started using Henry, but can't get the hang of his illusion ball skill. I've had it actually be useful once out of a dozen times using it.

my day one arrived last night, no issues with the disk drive during the install of DR3, but during the game i got booted out to the desktop with no error message, lost a bunch of time. Anyone else had anything like that happen? Havent had a whole lot of time to research it yet, hopefully it was just a glitch and not a precursor to future troubles.

This happened two other times after recording the video. I was gonna send the video to the developer's twitter but after re-inserting the disc it went back to normal. Anytime you encounter a glitch, make sure to record and upload it so you can show the developer the glitch.

Sorry to laugh, but knowing some of your stories and then hearing the character moaning in the background of that video was just too much to handle.

This happened to me right at the end of the final, very lengthy and very annoying Overtime mode mission, which has no checkpoints. I was not pleased.

Just a standard game crash, though. Something that has always happened with software.

Finally got to play some more Powerstar Golf this evening. Got started by shattering a bunch of L&O's records :P

Also tied the World Record on an awesome Eagle shot!

You guys really like the golf game, huh? Maybe I'll have to check it out. How much content is there? How many courses and such? Is it essentially a full game like Hot Shots Golf Out of Bounds, or is it like that XBLA golf game with 3 courses?

Also to repeat an earlier question : does anyone else have their 360 plugged into their One? That's how my AV guy set my system up and it seems to be working fine, but I'm worried about the lag problems I read about in One reviews.

One more question : how do you get the One to auto-sign in without using the Kinect to recognize you? It's not a choice in the Sign In Preferences section of Settings, which is where I would put it.

Settings -> Sign-in, Security, & passkey (on the left column) -> Kinect Sign-in -> Turn off.

You need to progress through career and eventually challenge other characters. If you win, you unlock them. Same setup as Hot Shots Golf.

The store seems to work like Madden Ultimate Team and other games where you buy packs of random cards to get new items. Just keep playing and earn money, then spend it on card packs.

I think it has 4-5 courses. It's actually pretty deep with lots of unlockable items and challenges. It seems to use some basic cloud features to let you compete against friends, even when they are offline. Seems to be well worth $20.
