10% of the GPU (magic graphics box) were set aside for Kinect skeletal tracking etc. Now developers can use that extra power for graphics (frame rate, resolution) if their title does not use Kinect or only uses voice commands.

The Master Chief Collection looks like an amazing package.
Although If I understood it correctly only HALO 2 is being remastered, but all will play at 1080p60fps.

Halo: CE, Halo 2, and Halo 4 are technically all running off the same engine as it was built specifically for Halo 4 and what they used to port CE over to the 360. In theory, these three games should look the best on the collection.
Halo 3 is just getting a visual boost to 1080p/60 since the HD assets already exist.

This Arstechnica article suggests that each game will have a unique engine:

http://arstechnica.com/gaming/2014/0...one-embargoed/
Other than [improved graphics and sound], gameplay will be practically identical to the games as they were originally released. In fact, the team says it's trying to recapture the "exact, verbatim experience" of playing Halo on older hardware, right down to little physics quirks and exploits like "super jumps" that make each game feel unique (though major glitches in the original games will be coded out). This will extend to the multiplayer mode, where players will be able to choose which game's gameplay engine and feature set they prefer to play in for each map.

Hopefully my fellow friends on the XO enjoyed the show. I thought Scalebound looked interesting....

Microsoft wants people to know they have 9 exclusives by this holiday.
As well as others...

Ori is 1080p/60fps (so you know its fun), and no loading apparently.

Nine Exclusive Games! Assuming you count three Kinect-only titles, a downloadable title, a multiplayer beta and fighting game DLC as "Games".

I wouldn't count betas as full games, but the rest are games (and we don't know the extent of what KI Season 2 contains).

Okay, I thought Kinect was required, but it's only optional. Still it's a microtransaction-laden F2P world builder.
I bet Sony has nine F2P games alone coming before the end of the year and every one of them is probably more of a "game" than Project Spark. And I'm not really looking forward to any of them either.
By my count, XO has three exclusive games coming this year : Halo Collection, Forza Horizon 2, Sunset Overdrive. PS4 has three as well : The Last of Us Remastered, DRIVECLUB, LittleBigPlanet 3. That's pretty close to a push. Unless you're into motion-controlled music games - most folks aren't anymore.
If you figure in all the exclusive downloadable titles and F2P crap, I'm pretty sure Sony comes out ahead.
