Between GWG and Game Pass, I won't say there's no need to buy games, but you could really play a lot of decent games (and yes a lot of crap) with just those two subs. My most played GP games are Letter Quest and Strange Brigade. I started playing Mutant Year Zero but it seems to rely so much on the pre-combat stealth. And it's hard. I always preferred Final Fantasy Tactics to Tactics Ogre.
I bought LC: GoL a long time ago and while i didn't finish it, I enjoyed it. Don't have Far Cry 2 or Celeste (never even heard of it), but it looks good (if hard).
I just bought Life is Strange Perfect Storm the other day and it went live on Game Pass today. Granted, I only spent 5 bucks on it, and who knows how long things stay on GP, but still.

^ I bought a three month Game Pass card, which came with a bonus month, and was awarded a free month on top of that, so my Game Pass is paid up till May. Plan to renew my Gold in January for another year.

Drinkbox Studios has announced that Guacamelee 2 will release on Xbox One and Windows 10 PC on January 18. It'll be a Play Anywhere title, meaning that buying one copy grants access to both the Xbox and Windows 10 versions. Furthermore, Guacamelee 2 will support cross-saves between these two platforms

Oops! You are right! Not sure why I read it as 6 + 3 when I was checking out. Still a decent deal for 6 months though. Best I could find the other day was $49.50 for a year.

Even though I had recurring billing on, when I added the first code, MS offered me a free month if I enabled it with the option to cancel any time. I agreed and got 4 months for that one. Then I cancelled it. I added the second code hoping to get the same offer but, alas. I wonder if it had something to do with the second one being a "promotional" code.

They are running a promo on the dashboard for a year of Xbox Live Gold for $35.99. It worked as a renewal when I did it a couple days ago.

We Happy Few looks pretty terrible but guess we'll know for sure when it comes to Game Pass tomorrow. At least it's a newish game, Saints Row the Third and Shadow of War also come to GP tomorrow.

I wanted to like We Happy Few, because it gave me a "Bioshock" vibe before it came out. I seem to recall there were some early reviews that made me decide not to pick it up. I ended up renting it, but after the 3 hours my Xbox says I played, it just didn't grab me.
