Well that sucks because I do actually own Poker Smash, but I didn't install it (just hadn't gotten around to it). So I guess I won't get Hexic 2...that's bizarre! I guess when Phil Spencer mentioned 385 games were BC, and I counted 386, he was in fact right. UGH!!!!!

This removal is interesting, since I think it's the first game removed from BC since it left beta, and the fact that it's not just no longer being sold, but BC is being removed from even current owners.

My guess is that there was a licensing issue where MS never actually had the rights to add this to BC or to the digital Marketplace for sale. This could be because the company they licensed it from misrepresented its rights, or maybe the deal was never properly finalized. This would explain why the BC is being removed instead of simply delisting the item from the marketplace, and why back purchases are being refunded.

For other BC titles, I could envision situations where they could be no longer available for sale digitally, but BC should still work for existing owners, and people who previously purchased it still have access.


Edit: It looks like Void Star Creations took $8k in 2013 to port Poker Smash to PC via a Kickstarter, but then left the backers high and dry when said port never appeared. Their company website and website for the game are defunct too:

Yup. Basically anyone with T-Mobile can download the T-Mobile Tuesdays app and they'll get a code that anyone can redeem on their Xbox/Microsoft account.

Yeah, basically they tap "redeem" in the app and they get a code that they can then copy and paste into an email/text to you, and then you can redeem it on your Xbox on the Xbox website.

I watched on Mon and Tue, and got the games last night. Between Mon and Tue I clicked on "create account" on Mixer, instead of just signing in with my MS account, not sure if that had anything to do with it.

Avatars were pretty much kicked to the curb for the One, they have slowly added support back for it, but their use is limited.

It looks like they are changing that.

I haven't received anything either. Did you tune in the for whole thing? I only got on for 20 mins or so, but not sure if that has anything to do with it. I can't find anything in their FAQ section that says it has to be a specific time limit.

Monday, I tuned in before it started, but forgot to sign in until a few minutes after it started. I kept it open in a tab for the entire event.

Yesterday, I tuned in 45 minutes into it, and then kept it open in a tab until a little after 6pm ET.

It's possible they're lagging a day, and my Monday viewing was rewarded last night, so people who watched it Tue might see rewards tonight. The FAQ states it could take up to a week to receive your games.

the original 360 Prey game doesn't seem to be backwards compatible. does that mean i cannot install the demo on my One?

Every 360 game that is supported on the One via BC needs to be packaged as such. Why would they waste time with demos? Are there any 360 demos you can install on the One?
