Co-worker.
$150 for the console, extra controller, and Halo 5. I also threw in the HDD caddy since it doesn't work with the S.
I might have been able to get a bit more, but I'm happy.

Best Buy's trade in values are absurdly low. $68 for the console?

re: Xbox One: S $249 Now / X $499 November 7 2017

Quick internet question. I have 150 Mbps with my provider. I have the Xbox one S hardwired to the internet with a cat 6 1 gig cable and sometimes I get up to 75 Mbps download and then BAM down to 2.00-4.00 Mbps, sometimes even 800 Kbps. What gives with the huge difference while hard wired

What provider do you have? What modem? What router? Do you have anything else hardwired to the router?

You should test the cables and the router to see if they're the issue. If possible, you could try connecting the Xbox One straight into the modem.

However, the issue could be with your internet provider. Either there's problems with the cabling to your house, or your local node gets congested, or the peer points connecting to Xbox Live get congested.

You guys, Ben-hur.

I can't get the last achievement (destroy all chariots in every race in a season).
I even did it in all three races without dying even once. The fuck?

If you don't see the yellow flash in the kill-cam, it doesn't count.

Why the hell is Uno being sold for $10? I can play Uno on iphone, and facebook desktop for Free! Not to mention it's already been on 360. It should be the easiest game to make BC! Hell at least give a discount for those that already purchased it on 360.

I just read on the Xbox forums that Xbox S have a know dropping connection issue. If the controller will turn it on and if the machine would actually go into "instant on" I'd be happy

360 Uno (along with Uno Rush) was delisted from XBLA at the end of 2014 when Ubisoft acquired the Uno license. No chance of either of them ever going BC. Ubisoft's version is a brand new game.

Ok that makes more sense now. Guess I'll stick with my 360 version till a sale hits.

Ok so I went to advanced internet statistics and the Xbox one S says it's downloading at 120 Mbps but my games are downloading at 7 Mbps?

This thread suggests that it may be an issue with the "instant on" mode on the XB1S, and that people who have switched it to "power save" mode have seen improvements in their network speed:

Also, here's MS's general network speed troubleshooting guide:

^ Thanks! My S was downloading games really slow last night... also about 7. I never had my previous Xbox Ones set to instant on, but decided to try that out this time around. If that's what's causing it, then I'll switch back to power-saving.

He's saying to NOT set it to Instant on and to set it to power save mode

I know. I see how my wording was bad. I'm saying I'm going to turn off Instant On to see if it helps.

re: Xbox One: S $249 Now / X $499 November 7 2017

Been looking for the last few weeks for a used (Non S) One for $150 with wires and a controller. Cheapest I've been able to find is in the $180 range and most are close to $200.

Any tips or places I may not be looking? Been checking ebay fairly regularly, done a food google searches, and been to local pawn/game shops.

I think you're just aiming for too low a price. You could maybe hope that now that the cheaper 500GB and 1TB models of the XB1S are out, more people will be parting with their original model, driving the price down some more.

Stand outside a Best Buy or Gamestop and wait for someone going into the store with a console to trade in. Tell them you'll give them $150 cash. They'll laugh at you, but after they go in and find out BB and GS will only give them $68, well, they'll be running back to find you.

If you find a used XB1 for $150, something is probably wrong with it. Especially if it comes with a controller.
