Were that many people clamoring for Doritos Crash Course?

It's a Microsoft published game, so it's an easy one to add to the list. Also, it's free.

Portal: Still Alive is the port of the original Portal game on Xbox 360. It was exclusively released on Xbox Live Arcade on October 22, 2008. It contains the original story of Portal developed by Valve and 14 new test chambers modified from Portal: The Flash Version MapPack created by We Create Stuff, and 9 new achievements (12 total). Apart from that, there were no additional story-related levels.

Not too bad...it could be all Microsoft produced XBLA titles..oh wait...that's what it pretty much is. Lol.

But seriously, Deus Ex (which I have the original version since supposedly the director's cut does not work yet), Fable III (bought the LE), Halo Reach (GWG) and PEGGLE! are all welcome additions. I'll have to insert my PvsZ disc to see if it will install Peggle off of there since that's how I currently own it (and I did purchase the Nights DLC as well). Ticket to Ride is a nice surprise, that's always been on my well if you would have a sale, I would buy it list.

On a related note, has anybody tried playing Sacred 3 on Xbox One yet? It went GWG yesterday, and Microsoft's little proclamation that all future GWG 360 titles would be BC should apply even if Sacred 3 wasn't originally on the BC list (not to be confused with Sacred Citadel). Just curious since I moved over the weekend and have not hooked up my 360 yet, just the One for now.

Getting an error on Xbone saying I have to be online to play the game (Fallout 4) but I am online. A hard reset didn't fix it. Apparently some people are saying Xbox Live was hacked?

It was acting very funny last night, so it wouldn't surprise me if it was hacked in some form or fashion. Hulu wasn't working and then it did. I couldn't see my Ready to Install List and downloading anything (like Thief) was a painful exercise. Happy Wars wouldn't even just login for the daily bonus. I played a little Gems of War (which also had connection issues) and then did a chapter of Tales of the Borderlands (the only thing to act correctly) and went to sleep.

No one knows what DDOS means. Everyone knows what hack means: fuckers fuck with a thing. The word means something new now. That's that.

Sounds more like no one knows what hack means. It's stupid to use the word interchangeably too, since a real hack typically results in getting real data stolen. Taking a service down, not so much. Leads to stupid conclusions like "Haven't both XBox and Sony been hacked?!?"

People get way too hung up on what people call it, and not nearly bothered enough by the actual DDOS/hacking.

Doubt it, obviously a lot more people are bothered when they can't play their games. And I can control what terminology I use, I can't prevent DDOS attacks.

re: Xbox One: S $249 Now / X $499 November 7 2017

I just meant that the only people who should care are actual hackers, and they should be spending their time defeating the DDOSers and protecting their precious designation. It's just such a weird response you see here and elsewhere when this happens, that first reaction being "Ugh, guhhh, they're not hackers, THEY'RE NOT HACKERS..." That's never going to be the first ping of outrage that hits my brain.

It's like when you order a Coke in a restaurant and they say "We have Pepsi, is that okay?" Yes. Bring me a soda. Pop. Whatever.

I already kind of explained why I care, largely because the two mean very different things and have different connotations. It's a pet peeve to me working in IT, since seeing hack typically alludes to data been stolen like Target, Sony, whatever, and in this case it's not like your personal data is being stolen. The misuse of terms leads to consumer confusion.

And like I said, outrage over service availability is a given, but nothing I can control. Correcting people on the right description can be controlled.

Coke/Pepsi isn't really apt. Pop

Well, for me hack means modifying something to do something different. Make it work better, or worse.

I hacked my car to make it run faster. I hacked my car to made tamales for me. I hacked fumanstan's car so it would play a Justin Bieber song at every stop.
