Does anyone here even have the Elite? I'm curious as well.

I have the Elite... and it's fine. I would love to tell you that I now go 35-0 in CoD MP but the truth is, it's just a nice feeling controller and I still suck at video games. It's weighty and has nice grained (and possibly soft touch paint) grips and, as you know, the triggers and grips are totally customizable --- but almost to a fault.

Pros:
Customization - you can assign buttons to anything and for any type of game
Great feel / grip
Looks cool

Cons:
Cost - just not worth it IMO
Customization can go too far -- I tweaked the response time for the thumb sticks and they over-compensated upon return so much that I couldn't settle on a target.
Underside triggers are useless (to me)
Home Button doesn't work -- at least for me. I might need a reset.

I don't see the value in the controller, but I had to have it and I'll continue to use it and try to tweak for best results. Overall, unless you're a hardcore gamer, I wouldn't spend the money on this one.

Well, the nice thing is they come in two flavors --- the standard and you can replace those with a taller version --- similar to those offered on Ebay and Amazon.

I'll just add that I bought that controller, and I think it's great. Makes me not want to use my other controllers at all. I'm glad I didn't spring for the Elite, personally.

I couldn't decide, then finally picked the Forza 6 one because of the grips.

Then I felt bad and ordered the Halo 5 Guardians one the next day.

I ordered Dishonored for $15 from the Microsoft store on BF. Just got an email saying they sold out quicker than expected and can't honor my order, so they're giving me a $10 credit on my next purchase. Why not just tell me the game is delayed?

Exactly this. I love my Elite controller so far. I really like the different gamepad you can use. I prefer it. And I use a short stick on the left and a taller stick on the right. Grips feel nice. I am quite happy with mine. But then again, I didn't have any experience with the original. I went from the Forza controller to the Elite.

i kind of wish I bought one of the special edition controllers, either the Forza or Lunar White one (even though I hate part of the gold color on the Lunar). I didn't get a chance to order from the MS store in enough time though I bought a normal one for $39, although part of me thinks its just because they sold out that I wanted one more

Thanks. I haven't been able to find it and did not know if it was an exclusive or not. I saw the GS Lunar white one with the rubber grips, but I don't want a white controller. I'll head to the MS store some time this week and see if they have any in stock, they are out online.

The only reason I'd tell people to hold off is that the "Definitive Edition" is coming soon. BUT, my understanding is we'll be able to upgrade to the DE without paying full price.

That said, I DO think people should buy it now. Play it as it was originally meant to be played, then play the DE and enjoy the improvements and added level (or levels? Not sure...).

This is in my top 3 of the year.

The studio said the upgrade would be "a very comfortable price", so it's safe to assume it will be cheaper to buy now on sale and upgrade than buy Definitive later at regular price.

They are both pretty much the same except the Foza one is just blue with the little Forza stripe in the middle.

If not for the grips on the back I would not have gotten it; the grips do feel very nice.

Both controllers feel much better (more solid) from my original Day One controller (granted it is 2 years old, so that might be part of it).

But the triggers and bumpers feel great.
