How do you extend the dvr recording feature? Like when I say "Xbox record that" is there an option to make it longer than 30 seconds? I thought this was gonna be an easy way to do Let's Play videos.

That's what the estimate says. It's coming FedEx and from just up the road, in Seattle.

I believe you snap the Upload Studio app and then set it to record while you are actively playing. This way you get 5 minute videos and can edit them together etc. Saying "record that" just saves a quick clip incase you were not recording or did something cool.

There's no way. Other than keep repeating that phrase. And pasting everything together in Upload Studio.

So... I proudly presented our new setup to my wife, Xbox Turn On, Xbox Watch TV, a big smile in my face. Her response, fuck that! I need a remote.

Thankfully Harmony updated its software, so I had to update our remote, and now she can watch Hulu in the Xbox One using that remote.

If that works, that's even better.

I've had NBA 2k14 stuck at 0% installing for 25 minutes now. Is this normal?

re: Xbox One: S $249 Now / X $499 November 7 2017

My setup was pretty painless compared to my PS4. One issue I had was when I chose a wirless connection and logged into my network it seemed to kill my internet connection. It showed 100% signal strength but I couldn't go anywhere or log into xbox live. My other devices slowed to a crawl or were stuck trying to load web pages. It recommended I unplug my router and plug it back in which worked.

I had problem connecting with my cable box. When it got to the part where it tells you it can take up to 12 seconds a picture to appear I got nothing. I tried some other setting and got nothing. So I just went through the setup with no picture from my TV but when the setup was complete I got a picture.

I have some problems with the voice commands
When I say Military Channel it takes me to the Weather Channel.
When I say Fox Business News it goes to Fox News.
If I say FBN it goes to BET.
If I say Hulu it goes to VUDU.
If I say watch Channel 300(HBO) it goes to the Travel Channel.

I'm sure the voice commands will get better over time. I'm not sure if I'm going to keep my cable box plugged into my X1 though. I'm also not sure If I want to keep the Kinect plugged in It still kinda bothers me.

I also haven't had any crashes on it yet unlike my PS4. Has anyone had Killzone crash during cut scenes?

I noticed my Dead Rising 3 had to install an update first before it even installed the game, so it sat at 0% until the update was finished. Perhaps the same is happening with you? Also, if you are already downloading stuff and have things in queue, the NBA update may be pushed way to the back of the line, hence sitting at 0%?

Just wanted to thank everyone for the outpouring of support (my PM box overfloweth) over my lack of xbox one for the day. Amazon phoned me, we talked it out, they ended up making it worth my suffering, then they called fedex, had the shipping changed from standard overnight with 8pm delivery to priority by noon.

Again, thank all of you for the kind words. Seriously, you're too kind.

So how are people selling their Day One Achievement code on Ebay? Do you just send the code through email, or mail them the slip?

From Microsoft. Sent out a couple of weeks ago, based on XBL tenure and gamerscore (and apparently a bit of luck). Some people got KI, some people got a console with several launch games.

I would imagine the code so they can use it immediately. Be warned though - selling codes on ebay can be suicidal thought inducing. Be EXTREMELY CLEAR on what you are selling. Like spell it out, five times. Chances are you'll still get hosed.

And that is exactly why I just redeemed it. Had that happen with a code once and it wasn't worth the induced rage.

Plus I wanted to check the QR code redemption.

Who the fuck are you???

Oh I tried Xbox Fitness, I tried one of the 10 minutes videos, and got 5 achievements , but I think it was a women's video. Anyway it was good exercise, although I don't think they were really checking my form.

I will try one of the P90X videos, that I have done before, to see if that works better.

Out of morbid curiosity I decided to check out the GAF thread discussing this announcement.

It is exactly as I expected it to be. I could've typed out the first page of responses with about 99% accuracy before I even opened the thread.

I'm having a problem with turning the XB1 on with voice commands. I turn the console off fine, but it won't turn on using voice. Is there a way to turn it off so it's in low power mode ?

First rule, never go to GAF.

The Xbox One release was a success. I'm sure there are people with issues, same as with the PS4, but both companies did a great work. I don't have a PS4, so I won't comment more about that. But I love my Xbox One. The games are great, but I love all the other stuff, multitasking, TV, voice commands, that's why I chose this one as my first next gen console. And it delivered for me.

Check in Settings that Kinect is always on.

"Obviously!"
"More first-week launch countries, duh!"
"Just wait until next week!"
"LOL Microsoft!"
"Stupid MS fanboys buying the weaker system!"
"Good launch MS!"

followed by 3,000 posts deriding the last guy and criticizing his lack of achievements and trophies.

Download NBA straight to hard drive (no hard copy) and it doesnt work. What are my options? For starters I was never able to partially play during the download process. Now that its fully downloaded I cant activate a second controller on the menu for two player. And I get stuck on the load screen with no success. Can I uninstall and re-download?

Uninstalling and redownloading is probably your best bet, unfortunately. I'd check other forums to see if people are having the same issue. Could be a corrupted installation. Good luck!

Unrelated, but I just used Skype on my XO. Very awesome how it zooms and pans around. My brother was jealous.
