I don't see the benefit for the consumer .
it's not smaller, it's not substantially cheaper, you can't trade or resell games you buy on it.
There are lots of deals for digital downloads nowadays so that part is not as bad as it used to be, but still. I would have expected a box that really pushes Game Pass. Half the size or less or the current box, so it's portable or easy to be a "second tv" box, and either much cheaper ($149) or comes with a year or at least six months of game pass and gold .

I’m sure we’ve discussed this before, but is there any way, on a browser, to see a list of all your xbox games? I’ve accumulating almost every freebie since I was an Xbox Live beta tester, but can’t seem to get to a list of everything.
If we find a link for this, I’ll add it to the wiki.

I feel like they dumped the Fire TV app out there a few months ago and haven't really bothered to update or improve it since. It still annoyingly won't close on it's own... if you leave it for a while then go back to it, you'll have a black screen unless you exit out completely.

I couldn't find the DCU app on the Xbox or on Xbox.com.
How are comics on it?
I thought of (well, read an article mentioning) another huge downside to the SAD. Buying one now locks you out of the huge library of discounted games that always appears near the end of a console's lifecycle. Buying a single disc game for 10 bucks that was 60 at one time makes that extra 50$ cost worth it. The SAD locks you into MS's digital marketplace and their price controls. Even less benefit for the consumer for this device.

For those that have used it, is the app decent?

I haven't checked out the comics. Are you asking in general or how they look on the Xbox? The latter seems like a weird one to me.
On the plus side they went with a Netflix style activation (visit a webpage and put in the code on the screen) so you don't have to type in your email/password.

Pretty good if you are viewing on a large TV. They give several different ways to read them and their are quite a bit of comics available to read.
I have the app on my Roku. DC sent me a free sub awhile back as long as I use it regularly and answer their occasional surveys on it.
Personally I think it is a great app and wish Marvel had something similar. But at this point I think we are getting into overkill with all the streaming/pay apps and I just don't see me paying much for this (or a Marvel one) if I had to pay extra for it.
If it was a sub part of Netflix or Hulu, fine. But paying for all these different apps is getting ridiculous. I know they need to make money but there is only so much time and money a person has.
I loved the Shout Factory app because they had the old video game show "Starcade" and I was slowly going through those. I just saw that they recently made it subscription based and I refuse to pay for another streaming app. My loss I guess but I had to watch commercials when it was free so I felt like they were at least getting some money for it.

So stoked that we are getting Golf Club 2019. That is a shocker - - a very new, full retail game. EDF is fun as well.

I’ll soon have my free month. Checked my status last night and only have 15 more searches to do.
