You can find Xbox Live regularly for about $50. I just bought one for $49.99 from Newegg. This is basically half the price and time for a what is considered a deal on Live at this point.

So 9 months for $24.99+ tax

Also, some are getting offered a free month of Live when you redeem one of your codes and turn on Auto Renewal. I did the deal in store a little while ago and just redeemed one of the codes on my Xbox dashboard and got the free month offer. So 10 months for just under $27 for me.

I'm taking it as unofficial since it is not mentioned in their ad. Possibly a replacement for Rocket League since no one seems to be getting codes for it in store.

According to ppl on SD, they caught the glitch and started fixing it somewhere around 5-5:30est. Sorry you missed out on it.

I was tempted to pick up a second set of codes, but I'm trying to build up enough Microsoft Rewards points to eventually get a 12 month code.

Yeah I was watching Wario64's Twitter and literally 5 minutes before my wife bought it, people were saying it was still 2 codes then 10 minutes later, lots of people saying it was only one code. Must've missed it by minutes. Oh well.

Well crap. I finally decide to start gaming on my One, and find that my old headsets from the 360 won’t work on the One. Buy a headset but find that apparently only older controllers don’t have a standard jack, so I need either an old headset or a new controller. Imagine there are adapters too. Ugh.

I don't fully understand your post, but newer Xbox One controllers work with any standard headset or headphones using a regular 3mm plug. No adapter needed. How old is your controller?

Made sense to me, I assume he only has an original controller. I know old headsets used to come with an adapter, but I assume new ones don't anymore since the newer controllers all have the 3.5 mm jack included.

If that is what he is saying then yeah, you can buy an adapter from a third party seller (they're not made any more)

Or you should just buy yourself a new controller. They have gotten better over the years. I like the ones with the rubberized grips on the back.

Thanks everyone! Yeah, original release system, first month or so iirc. Both my controllers just have the adapter slot, no 3.5 jack. But I’ll check my original boxes to see if they came with an adapter. Pretty sure they didn’t, but should check before I take Dan up on his generous offer.

In looking around Amazon, maybe an option would be to buy a chatpad? It looks like it would double as an adapter and let me use my old headsets.

The adapter came with an XO headset not with the controller. Came out months after the system launched. Don't buy a chat pad, it will not work. Take Dan up on his offer - very nice of him.
