What is a good kinda scary/creepy game to play for the month of October? I am leaning towards Alien: Isolation

Have you played the newer Resident Evil? That one was great.

No I have only played Resident Evil 5. I loved that game.

Is the game play in 7 similar to 5?

I didn't play 5 so I can't really compare. Was that the one with the buddy system? If so, this one is very different. The story is also more along the lines of horror movies compared to the more recent RE titles. It has a very solid TCM vibe to it.

Ya you could play co-op with 5. It took place in Africa. I just watched a review for RE7. It looks nothing like RE5. I'll have to think about this one.

OK, yeah. I did't play more than the demo for that one. RE7 is different. First person; not as action oriented; better atmosphere (IMO). Had a blast playing through it when it launched.

YES! Great game to run through for Halloween. I did the same thing a few years ago.

Did anyone pick up Forza 7? I was trying to figure out if it was worth it or just sticking to Forza 6 since I still have plenty to do in that one.

For anyone here that pre ordered the Xbox one x through amazon so you have a “delivery date pending”. When I preordered it on the first day it still showed 11/7 but now this. Will the date update in a few weeks?

Thanks

I might down the road. My wife is more of an avid racer than I am, but she's not really interested in 7. She had more fun with this gen's two Horizon games than she has with Motorsport, with the miserable Formula E races near the end of her campaign in 6 really killing it for her. Part of me is still itching to grab 7 just for the eye candy value on the X, but it'll probably be months from now when the price is right.

I wanted to ask after seeing a article on a game site that GOW4 was getting new maps and items for I guess Halloween. I never did complete the story actually and sad I didn't get into horde which I loved to death with GOW2 & 3. Is there still some playing this?

Yep. MP is still alive, as usual. I play almost every day, but I don't go into ranking matches, those may take more time to start.

That makes sense. My X1 Day One launch edition is pretty near death, requiring reboots from time to time and really sluggish with navigation. I am going to keep my X1X order but would have cancelled if my original model were in better shape. My PS4 is still going strong, but I did get a refurbished unit last year before my warranty ran out, so it's not a fair comparison.

Re: Xbox One: S $249 Now / X $499 November 7 2017

Psychonauts is a nice surprise. Double Fine ported it to PS4, likely in anticipation of Psychonauts 2 on that platform and the PSVR game, so I was worried Sony had some level of exclusivity over the original title too.

The PS4 version had some bug fixes and enhancements, like the PC version did. I wonder if the XB1 BC version is just a straight emulation, or if Double Fine/Microsoft tweaked the game at all. The fact that the games run at 1080p now suggest that maybe the game code was altered, unless the emulator itself is handling the resolution upgrade.

Good stuff. I think I have copies of Sid Meier's Pirates and Star Wars: KOTOR, I could be wrong. I would be interested in playing Dead to Rights, never bothered the first time around. If anybody wants quick links to all 13 games, feel free to check out my blogpost:

I wonder how long it will take for some of these titles to show up as "Games with Gold" giveaways. All 13 of these launch titles are also playable on the 360, so they could theoretically be a "360" giveaway title for one month.
