re: Xbox One: S $249 Now / X $499 November 7 2017
So I guess my Gold account is jacked up. I picked up a 12 month gold card to stack on my subscription (which expires in April 2017), and I keep getting errors when trying to redeem. On the 360 I get "This payment option can't be used for this purchase. Please select a different payment option or add a new one." On XB1, I get the "Oops, this isn't working right now, please try again" error code. I tried adding a credit card and then redeeming again and still no luck. Anyone have any other ideas?
You try on xbox.com and redeem the code?

Did you try redeeming it on the website?

Yep, tried the website and got the same error code as the XB1 was giving me. Freaking customer support couldn't even help me. This is really frustrating. I can't think of anything else other than letting my Gold expire and trying it again, but didn't really want to hold on to if for almost a year.

My EA Access is still all messed up showing me as Inactive but paid until July 2017. They said they are having issues with authorizing subscriptions. Maybe that's related to your issue as well matty.

Well we finally figured a way around it. Called support again. They had to completely cancel my subscription, and then gave me 5 codes to get me back to where I'm at now. Every one gave me an error code when entering, but at least it shows redeemed now on the site. Still not sure what is wrong, but at least I'm good through June 2018 now.

Microsoft sent out this message regarding Fallout 4's pricing mistake:
"Our pricing error on Fallout 4 has been fixed and your free download will no longer work. For the inconvenience we will deposit $10 by the end of June in your Microsoft Account. This expires one year from the time it was deposited."
I haven't received an email or anything.

Xbox One Slim Image Leaks, New Features Detailed.
The leaks keep coming. Following leaks of Recore, Dead Rising 4, and Titanfall 2 information, an image of the rumored Xbox One Slim console has been posted on Neogaf.
Neogaf user KawabataSan posted the full image of the console. It looks smaller, for one thing, and more box-y than the original. It also appears to have an infrared blaster on the bottom part, perhaps for use with TV remotes. The right part of the console also appears to be textured. In the Neogaf thread, Jason Schreier of Kotaku affirmed the image as the Xbox One Slim console, codenamed Edmonton.
The image also details the new features coming to slim console. As rumored, it'll be significantly smaller than the launch console--by 40 percent--and it'll have a 2TB hard drive. It'll also support HDR and 4K video, and will come with a vertical stand.
The console originally leaked back in May, alongside rumors that Microsoft is prepping a more powerful Xbox One for release in 2017. The company is also rumored to be designing a new controller for the console, which seems to be the controller shown in the image above.

Not completely on-topic but I feel like sharing this quick tidbit.
My daughter's a gymnast and this year she had to pick her own floor exercise music, had to be 90 seconds and instrumental. Not sure where she found it, the girls/parents at the gym bring in 'borrowed' songs I think, but she chose a song and has been playing it a lot as she practices in the living room.
I'm only half-listening, but after a couple days I suddenly realize that the song she's pirated is a clip from the Halo soundtrack.

You can steam HDR content through vudu and Netflix so not necessarily. But if it is an 4k Blu ray player, I will likely upgrade.

I am pretty sure the ps4 neo will have a 4k player with all the rumors of it being able to play 4k games. While the specs I have seen give me some doubt on it being able to play in native 4k for games I think that it will come included to give it another leap ahead in the console wars while the scorpio will surpass the neo next year.

If most games can't run in 1080p and 60 fps, can you forget about native 4k. We won't see that in home consoles for some time. But the upgraded systems should be able to upscale some games to 4k. Sony will push that as much as they can to help sell some TVs.

Clubs sounds like the feature I've been clamoring for forever. Hopefully we can make private, social Clubs like DVD Talkers so I don't have to remember where everyone came from.
