PS3 wireless-n thru ethernet with adapter (question)
I was having trouble with Netflix over wifi with my PS3, so I just bought a Netgear wnce2001 wireless-n adapter. I got it to work easily but have an advanced setting question.
If I want to put my PS3 in the DMZ, which device do i give a static IP to (or both)? Since the adapter connects thru the PS3's ethernet port, i have to set up the PS3 as a wired connection, but also the adapter as a wifi device. |
Re: PS3 wireless-n thru ethernet with adapter (question)
Also, what are your top connection speeds on your PS3s?
Wired directly to my router, or using this new .11n adapter I max out around 20Mbps. The same adapter hooked up to my laptop does 57Mbps. Is it just the crap NIC of the PS3? Netflix did seem better tonight though. |
Re: PS3 wireless-n thru ethernet with adapter (question)
Yes, the NIC is crap. But 20 Mbps should be enough for almost anything, right?
And I would put both IPs in the DMZ, since I guess you are using a bridge. |
