One good thing about this patch. Do a couple of those "Operations" and it makes money meaningless. Like 20 minutes at most, and you'll get 50k+ credits.

I'm a little put off by them creating a secondary market. It doesn't sound much different than the one that almost ruined Diablo. I also find the elemental stuff a bit obtuse and will probably just focus on making my guns crit machines. Update is a mixed bag...lots of good stuff but also a few new bugs.

Still a decent couple of days for me. They gave retroactive ranking credit for the sentinels, so tested for rank 6 and have a Soma in the oven. I also have gotten nice daily prizes for two days in a row (Forma bp yesterday and Oriken Catalyst bp today). From alert missions, I got a nice Mag head for when I make my Mag Prime, and I got a rifle damage aura mod.

Follow up on the secondary market...I tried it out.

Sold 3 Tower III Capture keys for 20 platinum. Looked at the market, somebody said they wanted capture keys, I said I had 3 Tower IIIs and would sell for 20, and 5 minutes later I had enough to buy something. Not bad.

Now I just have to decide whether to buy a potato for Frost Prime or another frame slot. I'm leaning toward a frame slot for Mag Prime, as I'll hopefully find something else to sell by the time I need points for Frost Prime. With all of the farming, I have a few rare mods.

I can't say that I fully get it from a business standpoint though. Now they'll have platinum circulating rather than being the sole source. I'm sure there's an upside in terms of keeping an interested user base, but it's hard for me to rationalize.

I don't see the issue, it's not like it's creating any new platinum. You also can't use your starter platinum to trade either. Seems smart, it can actually get people to buy more platinum.

But the same platinum gets used multiple times before it gets back to them on stuff that they could sell directly. You're right that it eventually gets back to them though. In my case, I was willing to pay .70 for a frame slot, and somebody else was willing to pay .70 for three specific void keys, but DE only got one of the two .70s.

The upside is probably that it makes the game that much more "social".

Edit: You know, when I say out loud that a Warframe slot costs seventy cents, it really sounds quite reasonable.

So I'm looking at the rest of the current Void drops, and nothing else is really speaking to me.

Glaive Prime is probably worth having and Boar Prime might be worth checking out. I don't care about Ember Prime (even if she looks cool) or Paris Prime, and Dread Prime doesn't seem like a substitute for the Galatine. I already have the parts for Dakra Prime and Mag Prime and will probably build them as soon as I have the materials, but suddenly the Void doesn't seem to be worth farming. I think I'll sit on my keys for the next update or maybe sell the ones that are in demand.

I need to farm some Morphics to build Mag Prime, so that will probably be my focus for the first few hours tonight. I imagine I'll be on late into the night if you guys want to check anything out.

I was wondering if it was just me or what...but did the enemy levels go down across the planets and missions?

After coming home from the wife's Xmas Party I had to toy with the Galatine sword...it's a beast. I put the Vipers in for Dual. And before closing the night got in on a alert and picked up a Orokin Reactor Blueprint. Now just to figure out should I hold it for another Wareframe later or what?

Chess ...don't say the Void isn't worth it...got all these keys and I need someone to help out or get together for some of these. Worse I can do is just put a message out I guess and say I have some keys and if anyone wants to do a few runs. It'll be knack tonight...maybe or guess depending if we have a special 6yr old come over for the night.

I'll be on and off all weekend, and I'll run the void any time.

I hope you both got the Orokin Reactor yesterday. It will be on my Frost Prime in a bit. I also got the Orokin Catalyst built, and it's already on my Soma.

I'm also done being all judgy about the market. I made about 75 platinum selling keys and mods at very reasonable prices. It was enough to buy a Warframe slot for Mag Prime, 4 weapons slots, and 35 in change. :up:

Chess...sounds like you did good on the selling and gaining part. How is the Frost Prime...I'm sure that's a stupid question. I'd be happy with a Frost but still some ways with the Rino.


I didn't get the Orokin Reactor itself...just the Blueprint for it which I can build. I'll be on this evening around 6PM Central or even sooner.

I'm in for some Void missions. I sold my T3 exterminate keys after getting all of the parts for Dakra Prime and Frost Prime, but I have plenty of T2. I also have defenses at various levels.

I really hope you guys were around for the alert mission for the Energy Siphon aura mod yesterday. I already fused mine with every random card I had to max it out. :lol:

Flashburn, in case you haven't seen, the GAF clan has researched the flamethrower (Ignus) and the rocket launcher (Ogris), and both blueprints are available in the dojo. The only downside is that they each cost a forma to craft. I haven't built one yet, but the flamethrower is calling me, and I got a rare mod drop the other day called "Firestorm" that is specifically for those two weapons.

K&A, if you have any intention of farming parts for a Frost, you might as well just go after a Frost Prime. In reality, it's probably easier since you get everything from exterminate missions, and they are one of the easier mission types. You also don't have to unlock everything all of the way through Ceres and farm a fairly tough boss to get parts for Frost Prime, and there are some seriously tough missions on that route.

I sold another mod (Infected Clip) last night for 10 plat, and it took about 3-5 minutes. I don't advertise them but rather just check the chat for a "wtb" on something I have a spare of, and then I PM with a very reasonable price. Anyway, I had 4 of that particular mod, so it was no big loss. I've actually stopped fusing rare mods with each other and rather just fuse them with whatever I have lying around to rank them up. It costs more in-game cash that way, but I retain the opportunity to make a little platinum. So now I'm sitting on 45 plat after buying 4 weapons slots and a Warframe slot, and I still haven't spent a penny on the game. I also have 7 forma, and my Frost Prime hit 30 yesterday, so I'm thinking about spending a forma to change the polarity of my aura slot to match Energy Siphon. I also put my Orokin Reactor on him and my Orokin Catalyst (daily reward) on Soma, which is a pretty beastly gun.

Lastly, I've started building Titan Extractors to do some mining for me. I put one on Saturn, and so far, it hasn't done much, but for 10K credits, it's worth a shot for some Orokin Cells. Finally, Mag Prime is done today, and he'll fill my last frame slot. I'll probably buy another slot soon, or I might just sell Volt to make space for one of Nova, Nyx or Nekros. I'm leaning Nova, because she does some seriously epic damage.

Nice, I need to check out those weapons. Of course I need some Forma first, I've only ever gotten one. I missed the Energy Siphon aura, damn.

I'd like to get the Frost Prime main BP, I forget which Void key we need for that one.

I used my Orikin Reactor on Rhino, what an awesome frame that is. He can just absorb ludicrous amounts of damage, and his stomp is epic. I think I should have a ton of credits when I log in today from doing those operations. I'll probably build a couple Titan Extractors.

Started playing the PC version of this game, sort of shitty at it since I'm using a 360 controller to play it, but it's a good deal of fun.

Yeah, Rhino is a lot of fun and is a frame I'll never sell. You have to try the Galatine with him, if you haven't already. He isn't always a huge damage dealer like Nova or Ember, but his stomp is basically a pause button, and his ability to revive in traffic makes him a great support frame. Same for Frost, though I think Frost has a slightly better AOE ability, and Snowglobe feels almost unfair on certain mission types.

I'm reasonably certain that an organized three man combo of Rhino, Frost and Nova could absolutely wreck this game. I've actually seen it first hand in a 25 minute Void survival run. Nova went down a few times, but she was doing absurd damage and the Rhino and Frost were always close to keep her upright. Amazing.

The main Frost Prime blueprint drops on T1 exterminate. I actually ran it last night with some guys from GAF on a random invite, and that was the drop. The tough Frost Prime piece to get is the systems, which are an "uncommon" drop on T3, but the good news is that if you are farming T3 for the systems piece, you're certain to get a few forma blueprints along the way.

I somehow managed to get the other Frost Prime BP's without much effort, never got any Forma BP drops even.

Funny. On T3 Exterm, Forma BP is a common drop and the Frost Prime sytems are uncommon (and rare on T2). It took me probably six or seven runs to get the systems, and I think I got 3 forma BPs along the way (common on T3).

The gameplay and visuals are great. I was thinking more of the multiple layers of complexity that don't really get explained at all...along with some glitches and load times.

I'm just saying that if you stick with it, you're likely to hit a point where the game really clicks for you. Or at least I hope so.

yeah the load times on the ps4 version really suck...especially if you make the mistake of downloading the pc version and see that there is 1-2 second load times on it.

Good to hear. It looks like it came in pretty hot on PS4 and still needs optimization in some places. Hopefully that will be one of them.

I overlook a lot of the technical stuff for the same reason I did in the original Borderlands...the game itself is really really compelling IMO. Every day, I get or discover something that I get really excited about, whether it's the daily reward (I've gotten both Forma and Orokin Catalyst), rewards for alert missions (aura cards, weapons, skins, Orokin Reactor), Void missions or just random drops from farming.

We used a void key the other night on a survival mission. We got to the end and got greedy and ended up running out of air. Fortunately when you fail a void mission you do not use up your key. The second time we played we all got a pop-up half way through at the same time saying we all got formas.

So my question is, do random awesome drops like formas pop up for everyone like that on these void missions? We were all on different parts of the map so we could not have picked it up at the same time. (we think it might have rewarded us with it after 5 minutes)

My second question..if you are doing a survival void mission and nothing pops up, why not just die on purpose to do another run?
