re: The PlayStation 4 / PS4 Thread: Still Going Strong

That's one of the better looking units in awhile....and the game actually looks like a winner. With some highly anticipated games coming this fall, I wonder if some other special game bundles are coming.....COD, Battlefield, Red Dead 2, Fallout 76, etc...

In addition to the bundel, a third special suit has been revealed...The Velocity Suit...for pre-orders...

...and if that's not enough, a Vinyl Edition of the soundtrack is coming....

Hopefully anyone that wanted to pick up Marvel Ultimate Alliance 1 & 2 picked it up. It's been removed from PSN, XBL, and Steam.

I did pick them up a while back (PS4 remaster) but only installed 1. Will I still be able to install 2? At work so can't check right now. Thanks

Update: looks like you can via the download list (checked on my phone app).

re: The PlayStation 4 / PS4 Thread: Still Going Strong

Has anyone found a good source...or battery itself...for replacing the OEM Dualshock one? I went on Amazon and seems about 2/3 are no longer available, several with poor reviews and rest are no better in terms of power. I had to to combine both of my original launch controllers to make one good one but that OEM battery is only lasting a few hours now.

I was reading that The Spyro Trilogy coming out only has the 1st game on disc and other two are downloads. Lot of people canceling preorders.

re: The PlayStation 4 / PS4 Thread: Still Going Strong

Update: Battery for Dual Shock Controller.....the best one by far...

Amazon Amazon

Hey All

I spent a lot of time looking and almost decided to just buy another controller until I came upon the one in the link above. Out of the box itself it "Does Not Work"....because the polarity is reversed. It's also about a 1/4" longer than the OEM. But several have bought and used it with just two small modifications they detail and show in pictures.

Basically, it's just cut the connector....the wires are longer than the OEM one...strip the wires, reverse them and use heat shrink tubing (and solder if you wish). And with some Needle-nose pliers break off four small tabs on the area where the battery goes. The battery has the same identical connector used on "Version 1Controller". You can use it on the newer model, just have to snip the end off of the existing battery.

After about 9 hours it still showed 3 bars on the charge display in the upper left hand screen....

Sounds like a lot of work, for the price and labor I definitely would have just bought a new one

About 30 minutes from taking apart, dealing with the battery and putting together again. I would've but getting a new PS4 (pro) is on the agenda later this year. My launch model is still working but occasional I get this minor but annoying flickering on the screen that last 5-10 minutes. I use to get a lot of where the system just frooze up in the middle of a game 2-4 times a day but that hasn't happened in awhile. Hopefully this will last me till Fall/November. But still the battery upgraded was worth it.....

Don't they use the same controllers though? Or does the Pro have a different one?

Both of my launch controllers have dead batteries plus one has a wonky analog stick.

re: The PlayStation 4 / PS4 Thread: Still Going Strong

Pro uses the same ones...it's the "Version 2"...I think the code ends in something like CH2 whereas the first version was CH1. The difference with the batteries is the plug type; two different ones which one wonders why Sony did that? I'm not sure what the difference is with the PS3 controllers batteries because you can find ones rated at 1500 to 2000 mAH all day.....

On both of my launch ones, I did have to replace the triggers/springs as they were not springing back properly and sticking. On the analog stick, not sure the same though the gea box is close but we use to do something with the 360 ones that would stick/float. Like move and hold at each direction like 30-45 seconds and then rotate clockwise & counterclockwise for a minute each...and a blast of can air.ba

I think that one looks really cool. It's steeper at $500, but I guess they're trying to justify it with the 2 TB hard drive and a camera, which is a weird throw in to me.

Yeah, and it will sell out immediately once preorders are up, pretty much regardless of price.

It's nice that their exclusive bundles have been Pros lately. SWBF2, God of War, Spiderman, and now this.

God, the PS store is such garbage and runs like absolute shit. There's been so many times where I DON'T buy something because the store keeps lagging.

I didn't see it in the posted article above (and didn't watch the vid) but the controller and headset will be available separately for anyone who just wants those.

I own hundreds of games from the PSN store and I can't remember a single time I had a lag issue.

I don't have hundreds of games but I've never had an issue either.

re: The PlayStation 4 / PS4 Thread: Still Going Strong

I have hundreds of games and the store definitely stinks. The layout stinks, the constant loading stinks, etc. It's much worse on the PS3, though.

re: The PlayStation 4 / PS4 Thread: Still Going Strong

I always go to the web version of the store, and recall having issues with it a few times during one of the big sales a little while ago. I also think the layout sucks and it's annoying to have to "confirm" every PS Plus freebie I add to cart before checking out.

You're correct and then we'll see those on Ebay & Amazon going for $700-$800.....I'm wondering what other Pro Bundles might pop up with some anticipated games coming later this year?

re: The PlayStation 4 / PS4 Thread: Still Going Strong

One of my biggest problems with the store is it reorders my download list every time I renew PS+. PSDLE has helped, but it's stupid that I have to have a secondary browser extension to undo what the store itself does.

re: The PlayStation 4 / PS4 Thread: Still Going Strong

I did not know the PS4 Limited went on sale yesterday in Europe...and already sold out it's first allocation and already the scalpers...those who don't care about it...are posting outrageous asking prices. Wonder why they got theirs a week before we do?

I haven't decided on trying to get one or not. I be happy with a normal PS4 Pro at a normal price. Gamespot has the pre-orders up at $400.00 with a arrival in a few days. Amazon it's $450 and up....
