You can, but you'll likely have to reformat the drive.

Yeah, no external 2Tb drive here. Oh well. Guess I'll just stick with my regular PS4.

So some games actually run worse on the Pro? Has anyone run into this??

It's like turning on features in a PC Game, may cause performance issues. This instance is on Ubisoft for not doing proper QA on their title before enabling everything.

I haven't really tried enough on my PS Pro to be sure.

By buying a PS4 Slim or Pro, some people have received a $10 promo so check your accounts.

re: The PlayStation 4 / PS4 Thread: Still Going Strong

mattysemo247 commented on this in the deals thread, but the PS4 Pro is $359.99 straight up on Amazon. I'm kind of tempted but know I shouldn't until I get a 4K TV, surprised to see a discount on this even for the holiday sales.

re: The PlayStation 4 / PS4 Thread: Still Going Strong

They were briefly pricematching Target's sale today. Looks like it's back up to full price now. We don't have a 4K TV either, but I figured the performance upgrades would still be noticeable on our projector. Add in the decreased load times and the improvements to PSVR and I think the price was worth it. Even if I can get $200 for my launch PS4, I'm out around $80 for the upgrade.

re: The PlayStation 4 / PS4 Thread: Still Going Strong

Does anyone know if the Black Friday Uncharted 4 Bundle contains a digital copy or physical copy? I'm pretty much all digital this generation, so I would consider getting this bundle for my daughter if we can share the digital copy. $249 - 15% Cartwheel (- 5% redcard) makes this a decent opportunity to get a second system rather than overspend on the Pro.

It looks like it's a physical disc -- rare for bundles these days.

That's probably the best Lego game they've ever made. Glad to see more people will get to play it.

It really is. Losing the gamepad will definitely impact the gameplay, though.

True. But the game also ran very sluggish on the U, so maybe the extra power of the PS4 will help it run better.

re: The PlayStation 4 / PS4 Thread: Still Going Strong

This may seem like an odd question. But is there truly no successor to Burnout paradise city?

re: The PlayStation 4 / PS4 Thread: Still Going Strong

Not officially.
Need For Speed: Most Wanted
and
Need For Speed: Rivals
were both made by the same studio (Criterion Games, although Rivals was Criterion and Ghost Games...) so there's some similarities there, but as I recall they don't have quite the same feel as Paradise. I never played the newest NFS game (made entirely by Ghost Games, but I believe some staff from Criterion carried over?)

Most Wanted was a lot of fun, though. I enjoyed Rivals, but the "always online" bit made it annoying.

Fitting since there was no real successor to Burnout: Revenge either.

re: The PlayStation 4 / PS4 Thread: Still Going Strong

Well shit, my original PS4 controller used to get 5 to 6 hours of play per full charge, now I'm lucky if I get half that. Is this normal for older controllers? Also, I don't get the low-batter warning until it's pretty much dead, maybe one minute of charge left - I used to get the warning when I had close to an hour of charge left.

Mine (bought March 2015) has always been that bad. 3, maybe 4 hours tops. Finally bought a new controller on Thursday so we'll see how that goes.

re: The PlayStation 4 / PS4 Thread: Still Going Strong

I've mainly used two controllers since getting my launch PS4 and have put 300+ hours into both of them and they always lasted about 6-8 hours. I just last week got one of the new PS4 controllers and it lasts about 8.

You guys do know that you can set the light bar to its dimmest setting, right?

My controller also seems to be around 5 hours. And setting the light to the dimmest setting was one of the first thing I did.
