After playing the PS4 more and more I'm having a hard time going "Backwards" with the 360. Sure the games are fun but the PS4 just has so much going for it. The only game I'll go back on is Diablo III and when it hits for the PS4...see'ya...

...and starting Qtr1 it's only going to get better...

With the complete dearth of games available, I have no problem going "backwards".
Aside from Driveclub (if it actually gets released this time), I can't say there is anything I can think of coming out first quarter that interests me.
And that is not to say I don't love the PS4 because I most certainly do, just wish I had more reason to play it. Just got a Vita the other day as well.

Going back and playing 360/ps3 games after playing the new systems is going to be much easier than it was to go back and play ps2/xbox

Also the complete lack of games at least up until March helps with that

I've neglected my PS4 for GTA online. I sure hope they release it on the PS4 in the coming months with upgrades to the map and more interiors and a better framerate.

Brent, I've been using the PSN thread weekly for PS Plus updates since the program's inception.

As far as your info goes, don't know where it's from. We already knew that Don't Starve was coming for the PS4. DmC is coming to Europe for the PS3. Can't find any info on the rest yet. Could still be right, but normally Europe and the US don't get the same games the same month (except for the PS4 launch game Resogun)

There was some radio interview clip on Youtube where Lazlow may have hinted that it was coming.

Lazlow says that they haven't announced anything but he hopes it comes out.

Anyone else having PSN problems. I got Injustice for Christmas. When I try multiplayer I get a message saying I need Plus. But my account shows Plus is paid for through June.

I agree with you 100%. It's like the transition from Laserdisc (PS2) to DVD (PS3), to blu-ray (PS4). Of course the PS4 looks better head to head, but the PS3 still is solid, and will be for some time. I do miss the overall speed of the PS4 to my PS3 of course.

After finishing the grinding hell that is the Killzone: Shadow Fall platinum trophy, I decided to go back and play some PS3 games for a while. I played some GTA tonight with my crew, who hadn't been all on at the same time in over a month. While I can now notice a few of the limitations in the game (it was really choking the framerate with the snow they added to the game for Christmas), it was still a lot more fun than I had in Killzone. The DS3 felt weird in my hand, I guess I'm getting used to the DS4 a bit too much.

If Bioshock Infinite is going to be free, I might just grab the season pass. $20 for the whole thing is a pretty sweet deal. I just can't see myself giving up on my PS3 just yet. Maybe they'll put Batman: Arkham Origins on Plus too. That'd be sweet.

Got an email from Amazon for $5 off Battlefield 4, Madden 25, FIFA 14, Need for Speed: Rivals, and NBA Live 14. So if you purchased a PS4 from them and are interested in any of those games, keep an eye out from an email from them. Looks like they did the same thing for Xbox One.

I might be picking up a new tv with the after X-mas deals. I was thinking of getting a fancy 4K one, but it's my understanding that it currently doesn't make a difference on PS4 (as far as games go anyway). Are there plans to support this in the future? Is the hardware even capable of it with future firmware updates? I'd like to get a tv that is somewhat ready for future technology. From what I've been reading, it seems the PS3 is actually a better blu-ray player at the moment. I can't imagine that will last very long though.

Does anybody know what the future holds for PS4 other than prettier games?

To my knowledge the PS4 will only support 4K movies in the future, not games.

PS4, and the Xbox One of course, will never support 4K games.

Both are supposed to support 4K video.

I don't think right now it's a good time to get a 4K TV. There aren't a lot of sources.

I was looking at the Sony XBR series. You definitely notice a difference with the more expensive TV's, even if they're not ideal for gaming.

I have a 7 year old XBR LCD tv. It's "only" 60Hz, 1080p, etc, but the numbers don't tell the whole story. I also have a 3 year old Toshiba. 120Hz, blah blah. The Toshiba is newer and the numbers they push down your throat are higher, but the Sony still looks way better. Especially for gaming. Better colors, better black levels, better image contrast. The game Demons Souls was almost unplayable on the Toshiba. It's such a dark game, I could barely make out anything on the screen. On the Sony it literally seemed like night and day. Needless to say, my "old" Sony is still my gaming TV.

The reviews I've read about the new Sony's actually rave about the gaming. Not so much with a PS4 or X1 hooked up, but with a PC. If you can hook your PC to a 60" TV and have it excel, then I can't imagine that the new consoles won't shine on it too.

You mean a 4K XBR? Those are very expensive.

Edit: and it won't play games at more than 30fps at 4k.

I'm no expert on TV's, but that Sony that Best Buy uses for their demo PS4 looks fucking amazing to me. I have actually been flirting with the idea of getting one even though I already have a perfectly fine plasma.

After doing a little more research, I think the Sony KDL55W900A is the TV to get.

Maxflier, thats the TV they're using to demo the PS4 at the Best Buy near me. I just went there this morning. I agree, it's looks pretty fucking amazing.

From the reviews I've read online they seem to be made for each other. It also has that Simulview technology that the PS3 introduced (where two players see different things on the same screen using the 3D glasses. I know GT5 uses it, not sure about any other games though). I don't know if the PS4 will ever implement that, but it's still a cool thing to have if you plan on keeping your PS3 for a while.

Plus, it's a few thousand dollars cheaper than the XBR's.
