Also, what is the cheapest we can spend for the online service? We're already paying for Xbox Live and Nintendo online, not sure how much else we can squeeze in.
PS5 seems to be designed to be backward compatible so I imagine we'll see lots of discounts on PS4 in the upcoming few months.

You could always buy it again and return the new copy with the old receipt.

I thought Days of Play was all digital deals.

Hard to sell a limited-edition console digitally.

I know. But it will be physical copies as well. At least it always has been in the past.

My PS4 + PSVR has been at my daughter's apartment for the past year or so, so I'm thinking the Playstation Day of Play sale may be the best opportunity (pre Black Friday) to pick up a new PS4 Pro with PSVR Beat Saber bundle for myself. The PS4 Pro at $349 isn't the best deal, but no point in getting the regular model at this point.

I was thinking of picking up a Pro too, though now I'm curious, what was the best deal on a Pro? Last Xmas?

I think it was two Black Fridays ago when Target had 15% off all Electronics and it worked on the PS4 Pro at the time making it $339. I think Amazon priced matched that price during Target's promotion.

Also, PS+ for June looks good. Borderlands Handsome Collection and Sonic Mania.
I wasn't too far off. From the Target ad next week:

$20 - Spider Man and God of War
$40 - Days Gone and MLB The Show

Nonsense. The DLC is really good also.

I bailed on the DLC halfway through the second. I think that was mostly because I ran through the entire game (100%) and jumped right into the DLC. Just got my fill of Spidey and was ready to move on.

First part of the DLC was good, second part was annoying, third part was good again. I blew through them pretty quick though, doing only the story missions and I pretty much ignored all the challenges.

And from what I heard and read, the challenges are the real pain on the DLCs.

If you want to get Ultimate on them, they are a pain in the ass. If you just want Spectacular, which is what you need for the trophies, I didn't find it that difficult. I had more trouble with the Taskmaster challenges personally (and I didn't go for Utlimate on those either, so I needed the tokens from the Screwball challenges to finish upgrading gadgets and stuff before I did the new game+ run).

Act fast, Walmart just fucked up and put Days Gone up for $20. I just placed an order for store pickup.

EDIT: And sold out.

Getting the PS+ that's on sale turns the auto-renewal back on, even if you had it off.
I had to jump through a bunch of screens to turn it back off.

PSN is down, which mean I can't help one of my friend co-op on Bloodbborne.

Anyone have thoughts on Dragon's Crown Pro? It's on sale for $15 ... I'd buy it mainly for the couch co-op, but I was never a big fan of Golden Ax, and this looks like Golden Ax on steroids.

re: The PlayStation 4 / PS4 Thread: Still Going Strong

I like that game. It was free on the PS3 and Vita and this is the same game but with slightly improved resolution. (The game uses a shared trophy list along with the PS3 version -- if you care about that sort of a thing, it's annoying) It's more of an Action RPG than just a brawler like Golden Ax. I thought it was pretty fun in short bursts.

I think it would be worth that price, especially for you joe as you like couch co-op games and this is one that does it well.

Video Review of the PS3 version :

re: The PlayStation 4 / PS4 Thread: Still Going Strong

I bought the steelcase version when Best Buy had it on sale for cheap because I liked Golden Axe back in the day. Played for maybe an hour at the most and uninstalled it. Didn't like it at all.
