re: The PlayStation 4 / PS4 Thread: Still Going Strong

I've been messing with it right now because you guys had me second guessing myself but nope still nothing. If I go to my library I have 10 games currently downloaded those 10 I can click the "options" button on and then "add to a folder", "delete game", etc. I have 207 games in my library listed as purchased if I click the "options" button on them it does nothing. If I click "x" on the game it gives me the option to download it but that is it.

Not that big of a deal I was just going to make folders for the games I've completed, and one for PS+ games I'll never play and then one for games I want to play eventually. I didn't have a problem with the pre-folder way it takes like 10 seconds to scroll through them all.

I think that is working "as intended". Can only organize games you have installed on your hard drive. Not the ones in the cloud.

re: The PlayStation 4 / PS4 Thread: Still Going Strong

Just a friendly reminder that PS+ goes up to $59.99 tomorrow. I'm wondering myself if I should grab one more year for now. I think I'm good through April 2018 currently.

re: The PlayStation 4 / PS4 Thread: Still Going Strong

I, like many here, just got Resident Evil from that Capcom Humble Bundle a couple of weeks ago
And I bought Transformers Devastation like a year ago in a Flash Sale. -- not great, but not a bad game

From Dust was cool. If you've never played it, it's worth playing through.

Another batch of games I've never played, or bought yet. Cool. Thanks, plus.

That's a really nice list. The collector in me still wants to get a physical copy of Transformers, but we'll see.

re: The PlayStation 4 / PS4 Thread: Still Going Strong

So this may seem like a silly question but its a quick on.

Do I need the internet to set up a Playstation 4?

I am moving to a new town that is NOT wired for internet and I want a PS4. I was going to order it when I move there, but at the place I am at now, I have internet. So I'm considering getting it now so that I can set it up with the internet that I have. I ask because a friend of mine got the XBox and it needed internet but he didn't have it, so he had to bum off people.

I believe you need the internet for downloading the latest update for the console.

re: The PlayStation 4 / PS4 Thread: Still Going Strong

So I brought the 3-months PS+ at my Target this morning and it still rang up $17.99. Didn't Sony suppose to raise the price I read last month to $24.99?

re: The PlayStation 4 / PS4 Thread: Still Going Strong

I wonder if old priced Plus cards sold in stores will still cost that old price and work for a year? Or will they simply adjust to the new price?

I don't have a PS4 yet - if I purchase a digital game via the online store, I don't need to worry about it expiring on me or anything similar?

Of course not. If you buy it, you own it forever.

Well, until they decide to pull it due to licensing or whatever other excuse they can give.

Neither they nor Xbox have ever pulled digital ownership of a game. You may not be able to buy it any more but you can still play and download delisted games you already own. I have several.

The only exception I can think of was that Konami PT demo, but that was not something that was actually purchased with funds. Freebies don't apply

re: The PlayStation 4 / PS4 Thread: Still Going Strong

I just got a PS+ 12 month subscription and I'm new to this, so...

- I assume I'd be better off using the "14 day trial" and activate the one year subscription on the 13 day because:

You will receive this membership product for 14-days. Unless you cancel your membership prior to the 13th day of your trial, your trial will automatically convert to a 1-month PlayStation®Plus membership, and $9.99 will automatically be deducted from your Network Wallet
- What if you cancel after a year? Do the games you downloaded during that year just disappear or do you own them forever?

- Do you activate this on PS4/in PSN Store or do you do it in your PS account on the internet/site?

The games work like this: While a plus subscriber, you have access to them. When you're not a subscriber, you don't. Become a subscriber again, and you regain access to every game you've ever added to plus. So in a sense you own them forever, but only when you're a subscriber. But you don't lose those games if you lapse once you return.

And the games don't disappear, they'll still be on your system, they'll just be locked.

And just to clarify it's only the free PS+ games that you lose access to if you don't have an account any more. All of the PS+ discounted games you purchase you will still own.

IM trying to remember from my PS3 and I do remember that some games I couldnt even play until a patch was installed. I didnt want to have to move with the PS4, but I think I am going to have to buy it now just to have the internet while I do. lol

re: The PlayStation 4 / PS4 Thread: Still Going Strong

I'm fairly certain if your console can't check the servers for game updates/patches, you can still play the unpatched original game.

However, I can't comment on games that were created after a certain OS patch was put into place. For example, if a game was created after the PS4 was updated to 4.0.

re: The PlayStation 4 / PS4 Thread: Still Going Strong

Hey guys I need some help and your insights would be awesome. Here are my options for a PS4. Which one should I get, and why?

PS4 Fat - $279 and comes with Uncharted 4. It's the limited edition with the chassis and controller color themed.

PS4 Slim - $299 and it's the new releases model that's solid black but still comes with the game of Uncharted 4.

I just don't know if the slim has any advantage or if the older does. Any help!?

re: The PlayStation 4 / PS4 Thread: Still Going Strong

I'm a sucker for different controllers so I'd go with the Uncharted 4 bundle.
