Re: Fallout 4
this is weird. i saw the update downloading for this game but i don't even remember buying it or downloading from PS +. i went into the PS Store and it doesn't even recognize i own any edition. i know you can't get update if not PS + member (as you would have to pay) as i read online so i have no idea how or why, but whatever i guess.

That's the update to the PS4 version though, right? I cancelled that download and I'm just downloading the native PS5 version (56 gb).
Weird, I downloaded that PS4 update, but then I saw that the DLC that was already installed uninstalled and asked me to re-download again. I never actually got the prompt to download the PS5 version. I have the PS4 disc and the digital DLC. Both are updated now. So how would I get the PS5 version? How would I know if that's the current version installed? |

Oh, and how to tell which version you have... Just go to the main screen on your PS5. Hover over the game's icon and it will show you if it's PS4 or 5. |

Re: Fallout 4
^ if that’s the case, I didn’t buy it, correct? Strangely though, when I looked on PS Store it was $19.99. I put in cart and said it was $0.00. So, I downloaded PS5 version. That’s kinda weird, no?

Re: Fallout 4
So, can we update to the PS5 version from the PS4 PS Plus Collection game? I'll have to try what Oldboy did and see if I see the same thing, I don't see a way to update it otherwise.
|
Re: Fallout 4
Yeah, it was so weird. It said $19.99 and in cart $19.99, then $19.99 discount and all 0’s. It gave me the option to download both. So, now I have the PS5 version I guess.

Re: Fallout 4
It worked for you Cow? Good of so! I didn’t even get a purchase confirmation and I get those on $0 items, but not this one. Strange to me. Maybe someone knows why?
|
Re: Fallout 4
Nope, no dice, it shows the $19.99 + tax all the way down to the confirm purchase button. Bummer.

Re: Fallout 4
Ok, looks like it wants PS Plus "Extra" to cancel out the $19.99. I have PS Plus "Essential" tier. Oh well.
|
Re: Fallout 4
So clearly the free PS Plus Collection version doesn't come with the free upgrade. Interesting.

It should have an icon right above the title in the store that says PS5/PS4. I'm using the PS4 disc as well. Once I "purchased" it, it started downloading both the PS4 update (to my external hd) and PS5 version (to my PS5). I just went into my downloads and cancelled the PS4 one.

Re: Fallout 4
Anyone having troubles after the next-gen update? My VATS has gone all wonky. Any time I use it with any weapon, it will alternate between the correct number and zero. I can still select targets and fire, but it seems like the numbers shown are accurate, as the percentage of hits has dropped way down as well. For example, before the update, if there was a raider standing 10 feet in front of me, I could target them and would just about always take them out with one or two shots. Now, it takes three or four with several missing entirely. VATS is also letting me see and select targets through walls, which is really annoying in a firefight. I know there's a perk that allows that, but I don't have it and it's annoying to have to quickly figure out if the person I'm targeting is behind cover.

Re: Fallout 4
I got the PC version a bit ago and have been playing that one mostly, because the Fallout London (https://fallout4london.com/) addon (which is supposed to be basically a DLC, new weapons, new monsters, etc) was supposed to come out 4/23 (but only for PC, and not for the gamepass version from what I could tell). Now they delayed it due to Patch but hopefully some day. I always wanted to see Fallout Universe in a different country.

Re: Fallout 4
My PS4 died before I finished Far Harbor.
Ugh I love this game and this thread has me itching to play it again but I just don't know if I can invest over 200+ hours AGAIN over the course of a few years. YES years! |

Re: Fallout 4
Fallout London (a mod that completely overhauls the existing Fallout 4 game) is now available on PC.
You have to download the mod from GOG.com, but it is compatible with Steam and GOG versions of the game, the latter of which is far easier* to modify, and you have to have either the GOTY release or have purchased every expansion pack. The London mod is 100% free. Not available on consoles at all, at least for now, as that will require Bethesda support to work. Word is that they’re trying to work it out, but I wouldn’t count on it happening. * if you have it on Steam, you have to go through a whole process to downgrade your game to a previous version, as the ‘next gen’ update made earlier this year ended up breaking the mod installation due to how much it changed a ton of source files. If you have the GOG version, it can do it all automatically. |
Re: Fallout 4
Anyone try out the PS5 upgrade yet?
I downloaded it but as I stated above I am not sure I will ever play it. |
