Everyone who pre-orders a physical copy of the regular or Pip-Boy Edition of the game will receive a Perk Poster with your copy of the game. Digital pre-order bonuses vary by retailer, check with your retailer for more info. |
Re: Fallout 4
I don't even know why I bother to get physical copies anymore since you have to install the game to play (by the way, does PS4 require the same thing?). May as well purchase digital from this point forward. Don't have to wait for delivery as well.
My storage is 99.7% full, and I don't want to uninstall anything :( Anyone recommend a good external HD to add storage space for the XO? |

The only reason I went physical for this game is because I snagged one of the pip-boy sets. Even then, I'll probably trade in the disc and re-buy digitally. we'll see... Re: Fallout 4
The problem with digital is you might want to trade the game in later. But I guess this is as good of a game as ever to keep for the long haul. I do love not having to switch discs. But I also ordered the Pip Boy version, so there's that.

Re: Fallout 4
what does the pip boy app do?
|
Re: Fallout 4
I think it turns your phone into the Pip Boy. Like shows you what you'd see in game on the phone.
|
Re: Fallout 4
Doesn't look like my Galaxy S6 Active is going to fix snugly in there so I guess I get to look forward to using that foam insert, so that should be fun.
I ended up canceling my Pipboy Edition from Amazon yesterday and just sticking with my Best Buy preorder. Figured with the GCU and the $10 reward zone cert, that was the way to go. |
Re: Fallout 4
Yeah, I have the Pipboy edition and plan on keeping the goodies for the long haul. So I may just sell my disc and buy it digital. Depends on how it all comes.
I have a Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge. Not sure how or if I will use the Pipboy or the app. I just wanted one because it looked so cool. |
Re: Fallout 4
My phone won't be fitting in the pipboy so I guess I'll just sell the package and pick up a regular version.
|
Re: Fallout 4
My phone won't fit either. I have an iPhone 6 Plus. But the case still looks cool.
I mean it's Fallout. Between this CE, the guide, and the Loot crate box, I dropped $250. |
Re: Fallout 4
Yes, lately I have been buying games until they reach ~$30. Either digital or in disc. I don't do a lot of trade-ins.
But this game will give me at least 100 hours. Plus DLC. And with mods even more. I'm getting the XO version, hopefully no bugs. Predownload, and it will be available to me at 9 PM 11/09, 12 am EST 11/10. I already asked for a 2 day vacation at work. Hopefully my wife and kids won't bother me too much those days. :D |

Damn, That looks outstanding

Re: Fallout 4
So how do I get the BC version of Fallout 3? Is it a specific preorder somewhere or is it just like how Gears handled its BC versions?
|
Re: Fallout 4
Best Buy has put up an exclusive Gold Bundle for Fallout 4. It contains the game, the Season Pass and some exclusive Vault Boy socks.
http://pisces.bbystatic.com/image2/B...anvasWidth=500 They're selling the bundle for $84.99 (PS4) (XO) which is a $5 discount over buying the game and the Season Pass separately (plus free socks), but of course when you figure in the GCU Discount (which you never see on DLC) and the $10 RZ credit for preordering, you can get it for essentially $58 + (tax on $68). It's such a good deal, I'm probably walking away from my Pip Boy edition for this instead. Yes that one is rare and valuable, but I really have no use/desire/space for it. Plus this is way cheaper. |
Re: Fallout 4
are you going to use those socks? because if you do you need to post a picture.

One of the joys of being a Pediatrician is the ability to wear silly socks to work.
|
Re: Fallout 4
I'm opposed to the idea of season passes, but the Fallout games (along with a couple other franchises) have a decent enough track-record with them.
|
Re: Fallout 4
What the hell, no PC version of those socks?! Weak.

Re: Fallout 4
So if I preorder Fallout 4 on the PSN store and leave my PS4 in standby mode, will it download automatically as soon as it's available so I can play it when I wake up?

If you buy it now (or have bought it recently) it would certainly be worth it to buy the SP as well to cross the $100 threshold for the period 10/6-11/3 and get $15 PSN credit back https://homer.dl.playstation.net/pr/...8691208c67.jpg |

He can wear the socks, and if anyone laughs, he can just point to his Tesla and say "scoreboard!"
