Turtle Beach PX22?
 

My son is asking for a set of these for his birthday.

Anyone have input? I'd definitely rather get him a set that can be used on the Xbox, his ipod, and other devices, than just the xbox.
It says USB powered - so when using it for Xbox, it has to plug into the actual console itself? Somewhere I saw a 17 foot cord - which sounds crazy long - but my xbox is 10 feet from the sofa so I would want at least 15 feet.
Oh, and the writeup mostly talks about PS, but I'm assuming/thinking it's also Xbox.

Most of my headphones are either the standard Xbox wired headset, iPod/iPhone earbuds, or a set of Turtle Beach gaming earbuds I won in a contest, so spending 70 bucks on a headset is something a little new to me. That said, there were some that were 200, 300, so 70 is a relative bargain (if they're good).
