After you left we played another Lester mission that didn't involve flying, but also paid 10 grand. Involves driving vans loaded with explosives though. Still kinda fun. We kinda screwed up the last two runs we had with the plane. One of my controllers is kinda wonky at times, and instead of putting down the landing gear, it ejected me from the plane. Then I let mikefromcali fly and he forgot the landing gear all together. And there is NO way to move the Titan without wheels. Good times!

My new place is $391,000. Got back half of what I paid for my original apartment, so that helped in upgrading.

Tip of the day: If you want to gain loads of RP, but don't feel like all that nasty shooting and killing people, try golf! You don't need opponents, you can hit the links solo and net around 2000 RP every round. You get more depending on how well you do. It's kind of a nice bit of relaxation amidst all the chaos outside the country club. You won't get any cash if you play solo, but still, all that RP adds up quick.

The view from my new digs:

I haven't tried golf yet. Does it spin up a separate instance while you play, or is it possible for somebody else to come onto the course and grief you.

No, you're put into a lobby. Golf plays out much like it does in single player, other than it automatically skips you to the next shot and hole online, when in SP you can walk or ride the cart.

Re: GTA Online Thread Of Law Abiding Citizens

OK, Rockstar has released another patch for GTA V. This one is supposed to resolve the character deletion problem, except for one very specific instance involving buying a car:

http://www.rockstargames.com/newswir...ss-and-ot.html

It's out for PS3, and should be out on the 360 soon.

No word on getting back deleted data yet, but this would be a step in the right direction.

Can you use the money off-line?

I lost millions so far thanks to Ammu-nation stock values dying.

This is why I would always create a second save right before making any huge investments. If they don't payoff then you can reload and makeup any lost progress if you choose to.

That means everyone will be able to buy the most expensive apartment.

I guess it's good they're doing something, but if I had been reset I'd be far more concerned about the RP I lost than the money.

I mean there's a mission that pays $25,000 (Base Invaders), but the most RP I've seen in a mission is around 5,000. Right now I have almost half a million in cash, and nearly 400,000 RP (Rank 46).

Re: GTA Online Thread Of Law Abiding Citizens

If someone had so much RP in the few days that their characters were lost that their feelings were hurt then they spent too damn much time with the game in the first place. I think that 500,000 in game bucks is pretty damn good compensation.

I gave up on the previous character and started a new one. The first time through I had a string of repo and drug snatch jobs. This time I haven't gotten a single job since getting a personal vehicle.

You have to call Gerald and others in your contact list and they will give you jobs.

How are these people sniping me while we're both driving at very high speeds? Am I missing something?

Just joined the Xbox 360 crew. I'm Shempaholic. I haven't played much online yet as I've been waiting for the issues to be sorted out.

I am sure I could challenge you for that role of worst online player.

If you hit start while online, then go to the online tab, you'll see an option for join crew members, or very similar wording. But at least on the PS3 side, I never saw other players in the crew on when I was. Well, I found dsa_shea, but he has his own crew.

The problem is that the game isn't really conducive to big crews. Many of the co-op missions are limited to 4 players (some have 6), while deathmatches and races can have the max 16.

I'm running with a crew of about 5, 6 regulars right now, and we kinda rampage through co-op missions and if anyone messes with us in free roam, well, they're gonna have us all to deal with.

You can join 5 crews, but only one can be active. So I'm still a DVDTalk crew member, but won't show up as one in game unless I see others around and change into it.
