I am assuming you paid full price for TFA playset($28 after GCU)? If so you missed out by a week or so as Best Buy had it for $25/$20 GCU.

I stopped by today and picked up Kylo Ren, Poe and Sam Flynn. I only picked up SF as they only had 2 on the shelf, so I figured I'd go ahead and pick it up now rather than later as I know I will eventually own them all. With the exception of all the FX figures that is. I currently only have 3 of those and debating on picking up the Anakin while it is on sale.

Passed on the Marvel ones(Hulkbuster and Ultron) and plan on getting them once the Marvel set gets released.

Do any power discs exist for Han Solo or Chewbacca? I play this from time to time with my son but of course he uses Luke - which has power discs.

the lack of a second pack in figure is very disappointing. Especially since I already have a Captain America. I was hoping for Winter Soldier or Scarlett Witch.

Power discs are not character specific. Any character can use any power disc.

Plus despite taking a $14 figure out of the package, they're only reducing the MSRP for the playset by 5 bucks (it will retail for $29.99)

One thing about the new Cap figure though, it isn't just a costume change, he will play differently, and have new voice work (I don't know if it's been confirmed, but there is speculation that Chris Evans has provided the voice)

That's exactly what I did. Wish I had known about the playlet sale, but I guess I can't complain though since the GCU still made it a pretty good deal.

If you haven't already completed your 2.0 Marvel character collection, many retailers (Best Buy and Disney Store are live now) are going to be offering a deal where you can get a 2.0 marvel figure of your choice with a pre-order of the Marvel Battlegrounds playset.

I would've liked them too, but I'm actually more surprised they didn't include a variant Iron Man.

Along the same lines, I was thinking maybe an Iron Spider, or whatever costume Tony is going to give to Spidey in the movie version. But again, they're putting out Black Suit Spidey soon (as an individual figure, previously he was a PS Vita starter kit exclusive), so another Spider-Man variant is too soon. Plus they're probably saving the reveal of that costume for the film.

Re: Disney Infinity - Disney's Infinite Moneymaker

I mean package a variant Iron Man with the Captain America set, since they're promoting Civil War, and Iron Man has like five million suit variations anyway.

That Cap is cool, though. I'm a sucker, though, if they did reposes/reskins like Skylanders does, I'd probably buy most of if not all the Marvel ones.

Black Suit Spidey is a reskin. He's the only one so far though. It's not even a creative reskin though, as we already had Black Suit Spidey in the game via power disc costume change. It's just a physical figure to get you to the same costume (though apparently, if you use the costume change disc on Black Spidey, it changes him to the traditional costume).

Just a head's up, I read on another site that TRU will have all playsets at 50% off this Saturday. They will also have the 3.0 figures 2/$17, which is pretty good for those w/o GCU. Plus it is a good opportunity to pick up the Vader FX figure at a decent price when paired with another figure. The deals are supposed to be online and in-store. So it may be worth checking out if you still have your Best Buy receipt.

Gamestop is having a DI day sale this Sat. also. There is nothing in their sale really worth mentioning compared to other retailer deals. Plus I think most, if not all of the deals extend beyond Saturday.

how with Battlegrounds work with 4 simultaneous players? does it come with a new pad to place 4 character statues on it, or will it abandon that concept?

Pretty sure it is 2 local and 2 online. No 4 player couch co-op.

Actually, they've been very clear that it's 4 player local co-op. I've also seen screenshots of a character select screen, so I guess they're not requiring you to put the figures on the portal or something.

Re: Disney Infinity - Disney's Infinite Moneymaker

We grabbed all 8 of the newest figures and the play set today. Using a toybox that Sauce07 created along with a combo of two stacked power discs to level up each of my new figures to level 20 in about 10 minutes per figure.

I will say that I thought the new set was going to be more than a Super Smash Bro arena battles. I thought it was more of a story and levels you play through. Not sure how much I will actually play it.
