Complete vehicular mayhem game like Midtown Madness?
 

Hey All,

I remember playing Midtown Madness many years ago... What I enjoyed the most about it was that I could ignore the racing part of the levels and just drive around wherever I wanted all over the city and smash into people and buildings and cars. there were no guns or bombs, it was just realistic chaos.

Are there any games for the PC or the ps3 that are similar in nature involving cars where the focus isn't as much on racing around a track as it is on smashing through things?

before I dusted off the emulator, I figured I would check with you guys first.

Carmegeddon. They're making an updated version for pc. I think you can get the original on steam or gog

Yeah, that sounds a lot more like Carmageddon than it does Midtown Madness...

The early versions of carmageddon look so horrible, lol.

But yes, Burnout Paradise looks EXAAAACTLY like what I am after!!!

Was going to come in and recommend Burnout Paradise, but I see that others already have. Also check out Need for Speed Most Wanted (2012) which was Criterion's follow up with Need for Speed branding.

I think Test Drive Unlimited was also open world, but I never played it.
