Agreed. I think when Titanfall 2 launches it could be a smash.....if it included a multitude of addtional modes as well as a real campaign.

This new update has really made this game fun again. From the horde mode to the new ranking system, I am having a ball.

I am surprised EA isn't putting out a GOTY edition with all of the DLC already included.

Currently, the season pass is free on Xbox One, and the three map packs are free on Xbox 360.

Today is the one year anniversary since the game released. I guess it's a one day only thing?

Free on Origin now too for PC players. And yeah, an anniversary present. Probably smart to try and generate more player activity too.

I might actually play this again soon. I was one of the few here who genuinely enjoyed the hell out of it, but stopped playing for some dumb reason. I'm sure there's a few GB of updates to install... but... if anyone wants to shoot at each other for a bit, hit me up.

Another reason why you should never, ever buy season packs. Heck, I bought this on deep discount a month or so ago and feel ripped off.

I played it a couple weeks ago after picking it up during the Black Friday sale. I still don't understand how the campaign works. I'm pretty sure it didn't start me in the beginning, and after quitting and coming back the next day, it started me on the other campaign. Is that normal? If so, how in the hell do you actually play the campaign from start to finish?

The campaign is just multiplayer matches getting you used to the different modes so when you try to join it will just send you to a random match just like you were playing a multiplayer game. There's really no need to play them in order or at all unless you want the achievements.

That's kind of a shitty way to handle a campaign mode (even if it is multiplayer based). Can you at least track which levels you have already played?

re: Respawn's TITANFALL has landed (PC/Xbox One/360)!

In the beginning, the campaign played in order. The second update allowed you to select which map you want to play, but the third update took it away making it completely random. If the server is full, I believe it'll play the maps in order, but it optimizes for player count, so you may get moved to another server.

You can view all the maps and see which ones you've done already.

A Tweet on the game's official Twitter account has confirmed that this reduction is permanent. The DLC will remain FREE from now onwards.

ITT: Crybabies.

I bought Titanfall at $47.99 at launch alongside the $25 season pass. I don't feel ripped off as I got my money's worth (and my Gen 10 achievement). This is a brilliant move on Respawn's point to revitalize the community alongside getting people to purchase the game who haven't yet. You can also tell this was clearly not a move on EA's part.

Odds are there will be a Titanfall 2 announcement at E3.

re: Respawn's TITANFALL has landed (PC/Xbox One/360)!

Speaking to IGN ahead of tonight's BAFTA Game Awards, Zampella, whose title is nominated in three categories, acknowledged the game's existence for the first time.

"I guess EA announced a sequel, so I could play coy and pretend I don't know anything about it, or… yeah. So we're working on a sequel. No official name yet, but we're working on that. That's the main focus but we're starting up a second team and doing some smaller stuff too. Small, exploratory, taking it slow! It'll be multiplatform."

The bigger news in the article is this piece:

One thing Zampella was keen to think about changing was the DLC model for the future, citing Evolve's commitment to keeping the community united via free maps for all as the ideal way forward.

"I think that's a fantastic way to do it," he said. "I think having the maps like that in packs, it does split the community and it makes it harder for matchmaking, it's messy. Yeah. I don't know we won't do it again, I can't say that for sure, but the idea would be to do something different."
Based upon yesterday's development, I'm curious to see what Zampella has in store for DLC.

As mentioned by MoviePage in the Xbox One thread, Titanfall (and obviously its DLC) is now free for those who have EA Access.

They've also confirmed a single-player campaign that flushes out the world.

I'm assuming you have to have the EA access paid subscription to get the free games right?

Sadly (or gladly?) the "Drop a Titan on it" site appears to be dead.

More like Titan FAIL, right guys?! LOLZ.

(I don't have much time or skill for these kinds of FPS games now, but I'll probably buy it. I enjoyed the hell out of the first one)

Yes, you need the subscription to play any games "In the vault" and to play ~10 hours of any new-but-not-free games.
