Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

Anyone else going to buy the Lard Lad Donut Factory, tomorrow? It generates 12 donuts every 24 hours.

Word is it's going to be bundled with a $50 store full of donuts, purchase.

It's going to be part of the Black Friday offerings that's going to run between the 20th and 28th.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

I got a nice prize with my free gold token, Lovejoy residence, I think.

I have a real aversion to spending that much cash, though, and I don't think I've spent anything since I got into the heavy KEM farming. I thought it was clever of EA to try to tempt people into buying donuts by putting characters with them, and now they've really gone all out. I guess it's supporting the game.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

It would be an automatic buy for me if it were 12 donuts a day, I'd be able to stop KEM farming, so it would be like hiring undocumented labor to farm for me.

EA should allow people to purchase land tokens will real cash, that would help support the game.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

There's actually some good stuff in the silver box that I'll probably get for donuts. The better stuff is in the gold box, of course. But I really don't see myself laying out cash for those prizes. KEM farming is annoying so I don't do it as often as I could, but it's still effective.

Yeah the boxes have some really nice stuff. I stole this from the official forum.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

Ugh, I accidentally hit the button to go to my friends list while harvesting my KEM farm and I lost dozens of donuts and millions of dollars. Really frustrating!

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

I finally scrolled through all the boxes, and yeah, there's a ton of stuff in there. This will finally be my chance to get Jasper and some other characters.

I knew I should've gotten the bandit fort way back when, but I don't think it did much other than look cool, and so I didn't want to spend the donuts.

I bought out the silver box, and the only downside (other than the donut spend) is I now have 10 billion jobs waiting for me in the task bar.

But now you've got Mojo, Belle (and Maison Derriere) and Baby Gerald!

Xmas teaser is out. 100 donuts for a skin...

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

Question is whether that skin will do anything during the Xmas event.

I was going to make one final sweep through the BF boxes and toss EA a $1.99 bone for one shot at the gold box, but I forgot last night. I probably bought more than I needed anyway.

Maybe the characters will get switched up during the next 3 acts. Happy about the 13 land tokens we are getting.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

Someone on reddit got all the Christmas bundles and the bonuses from the items still carry over from when they were available originally. Looks like it's worth getting at least the North Pole bundle at 4% for 50 donuts. I read a while back, maybe it was here, that you should think around 1% bonus per 20-30 donuts spent. So 4% for 50 donuts is 12.5 donuts per 1% is a steal, and you can always put away what doesn't have a bonus. Christmas Market Bundle is pretty good at 20 donuts per 1%, too, if I'm doing my math right.

North Pole Bundle: 4% or 12.5 donuts per 1% bonus
Festive Bundle: 1.25% or 40 donuts per 1% bonus
Christmas Market Bundle: 2.5% or 20 donuts per 1% bonus

Today it was losing connection after I'd tapped the KEM farm and it was just starting to collect, so I lost out on those donuts. Granted, it was maybe $1 million and like 12-15 donuts, but still, it's super frustrating.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

Yeah, I crashed out today as I was collecting KEMs as well.

Kind of an unusually simple event so far, like no crafting. Lots of new characters, though.

Pretty nice they gave Santas Little Helper, to people who didn't have him.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

Yeah, when the game started talking about a new task for Santa's Little Helper, and then took me to Santa's Little Helper, I thought, "Wait... I have Santa's Little Helper? When did I get Santa's Little Helper?!" When I selected out of Santa's Little Helper, I got the notice that I'd received Santa's Little Helper. Nice!

Also, once more, Santa's Little Helper.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

Not sure if it's my screen resolution or I just need to scroll more, but a couple of times I've thought I was done with a stage of a quest only to scroll up and find another task that had yet to be done. Just a minor annoyance, though.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

Yeah, happened to me once early on and I've checked since then so it doesn't happen again. I like this event, even picked up some good stuff in the holiday mystery box deals.

Also hit 700% bonus this week. I'm down to 4.5 stars, though, because of Righteousness and crime-based tasks and graffiti.
