The Simpsons: Tapped Out

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out
I've run out of the land for cash so they may have changed it since. When I still had the old land, you could pay either cash or tokens. All the new land has required tokens and seems likely to be the case from now on. Don't spend tokens until you must.

I generally buy land as I need it, so I still have a lot of squares that take cash, and a lot of tokens. I should probably just buy a bunch of land so I can rearrange my town in a more sensical way.

The tokens for land is fucking stupid. In general, this game has made the game cash a worthless currency. Why are they limiting land to tokens? Tokens aren't even purchasable with donuts.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out
It seems like it's just a way to limit players from buying up all the available land and filling it up, thus needing even more land. If they can control the pace of the game, they can squeeze out the life of the game.
As far as the game currency, it's value is in donut farming. I buy and sell bloodmobiles all the time. I have over 15000 donuts right now.

Wow, that's a lot of donuts! I've been KEM farming but have maxed at around 1000 before spending 300-800 on an event. Do you find Bloodmobiles works better for you? Better than Rat Trap Trucks?

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out
I never really measured it out. I used to do KEM farming but time became an issue. I find buying and selling bloodmobiles to be easier at this point. My multiplier is over 1300% so I try to send my characters on tasks as often as I can. I can get a minimum of 4 million dollars a day so every once in a while, I'll buy and sell a bunch of bloodmobiles. I used to grind a lot but since I have so many, I just try to do a few hundred every week.

Holy cow, I think mine is 310%. How did you get it up that high, simply by buying premium items that bump it up?

Buying premium items and upgrading the Springfield Heights buildings that give you bonus xp%. Buying mystery boxes is probably the best value per donut spent but if you don't like a bunch of billboards and vans, then you might just want to stick to other premium items.

Those don't bug me. I've got a little corner of Springfield for all my multipliers that don't have anything to do with the theme I'm building.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out
Odd that the event ended, and the characters who were working on tasks just became free. Usually those convert from event currency to regular XP/$, but I guess there aren't tasks associated with the zoo territory.
My multiplier is about 750%. I've pounced on cheap opportunities like the tennis courts, and I get cheapies like the jet bikes, but I don't buy big items like the Springfield sign until they go on sale.
I bought a bunch of land with my spare cash (not sure I was still earning cash actually), and now and then I buy a bunch of rat trap delivery trucks. I never found confirmation on whether those or bloodmobiles are a better buy so I've just kept getting these. I've also been KEM farming for a while and usually top out around 1500 donuts before an event or a vault comes around and I use them.
Sometimes I wonder why I put effort into stuff like the Maggie game when I can use cash for donuts pretty much any time I want.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out
Maggie is 99.9% always in my white house farm so it costs me an extra 60 seconds a week to earn 6 donuts, I'll take it.
Bumped my multiplier from 310% to 410% with those beach hideaways. Tend to not get a lot of building-only donut deals and missed how the multiplier builds with upgrades, wow!
Read somewhere the best deal is 1% multiplier for 10 donuts when buying items. Less than that is only so-so. Truth?

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out
I like the new Frankenstein characters but wish their tasks earned currency. And I like how the ghost guys are easy to find and tap. The game feels a little sluggish and unresponsive since the update, though.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out
Anybody else have a glitchy game since the Halloween update? Tapping my house farms or other big patches of buildings results in a frozen screen until all cash and XP collects, or I can tap here and there but it does single taps instead of counting as a radius tap, then the radius taps go off a few seconds later after enough cash and XP has been collected. When I send my characters on a collective 4-hour task via the Unemployment Office, I'll try to pick up the last few who don't have that, like the Smithers Dog, and I get a pop-up bar with no task options and I can't move anywhere, so I have to close the app. I've removed hundreds if not well over 1,000 grouped items like trees, fences, etc. and still have this happening.
Anyone else? Ideas?

The game has been glitchy and laggy for a lot of people. I don't even have the Halloween stuff in the store anymore.
I saw on the official forums that EA was working on a fix for the glitches and lag, at least.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out
Yep, I mentioned earlier that mine was unresponsive at times. Tapping a batch of KEMs will usually freeze things, and sometimes characters are randomly not included in a group assignment. Evil Homer frequently wanders around unassignable.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out
Well, sure, NOW I see that you mentioned it earlier. Glad to hear they're working on it.
Went through all my stored items and discovered lots of little % bonus items here and there. But also discovered a bunch of Springfield Heights buildings I put in storage one day to make room for a house farm never got put back out. Bumped my bonus % from 310% to 410% around three weeks ago with an investment in some Springfield Heights items I never noticed had bonuses with them, and tonight I bumped it up to a whopping 575.55%, which is more than I ever imagined! I'm starting to see how some of you have such high percentages now.

Evil Homer is always unassignable. He is an NPC. Countess Dracula can turn him into a minion so he shows up in the character finder sometimes. She can also turn available characters into minions. Before you hit the unemployment office, she's zapped some of your characters. She can't zap characters who are doing jobs.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out
Thanks! I did wonder if Evil Homer was a NPC, but sometimes he appears in the top corner as unassigned so I wasn't sure.
Haven't unlocked Countress Dracula yet.
Just unlocked La La Land

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out
First patch is out. It fixed the lag and if the Halloween stuff disappeared from the store for you, that should also be fixed. Or at least it is for me.
Lots of people have a new issue where they can't tap on minions, so that's not good.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out
Game seems to have stabilized.
I unlocked the last prize (Countess Dracula) so I'm going to sit on my pickaxes and stuff till the next act.
The tween lit premium character/building is a big boost because it gives a 50% bonus currency task to a ton of kids.

Better stability, yes! I noticed Evil Homer has sometimes been tappable for event currency when there was a glitch.
I'm digging this event, much better than last year's Halloween.
Good tip on the tween, thank you.
