Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

Everybody went to Moe's, they're out, and now... what? No new actions yet.

Nevermind, looks like I needed Bart to stop being a nutcracker.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

Got all the rewards this morning.

I'm going to finish the Christmas quest tonight.

Already started some of the Christmas side quests.

I have more than 150 gift bags. So expect to start receiving some from me.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

Unless I'm really lucky today, I'll be getting the last personal christmas item tomorrow. I'm at 29,574 giftcards and need to get to 30,000.

I've already tapped through all the towns, otherwise I would be finished tonight. Though I do have everyone on the 12 hour shopping quest. At 47 gift cards per person, At 20 residents, that might put me over the edge. Forgot about that quest for a moment. 'm sure I have some hidden gift bags too that the elves will find later when I can let them loose.

I still have the Mr. Plow stuff to do since I got the Mr. Plow outfit for Homer from the christmas wheel. I'm hoping to get Plow King for Barney from a spin...

No. He's still tied to the Bowlerama.

The Plow King skin will just go into your inventory. (Once there, it's likely it will be grey-ed out or locked, since you don't have Barney.)

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

That's lame. They should not offer that on your wheel (not that you'd want another cash slot either).

This stupid wheel pisses me off. On one had its cool that you get a bunch of stuff for free. On the other hand when it lands on one of the prizes you want but gives you the prize above or below it, that's bullshit. I'm glad I'm not wasting donuts on buying coins.

Hit 30K and also earned my first free spin at 31K!

$1000 cash.

My daily spin was a Maggie snowman.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

I don't even have cash on my wheel. I have all but 6 of the items left, when there is nothing to replace the items, they have been putting silver and gold gift card slats. The silver gift cards is 225 gift cards, haven't hit the gold one yet.

I'd much rather have GCs and another chance at the spin than cash, which I have boatloads of. But I just spun again and got the Plow King outfit, which was replaced by my first gift card. Also have three snow statues, three cash slots, two buildings, and the abominable snowman.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

In-game cash is worthless after a certain point, but this $1000 Prize Wheel is ridiculous. Like beyond Newspaper Rack Misery Box worthless.

Thanks to Part 18 of the questline, I've cleared 67k in GCs and have one freakin' thing left (Helter Shelter) after cycling though the five snowmen I didn't need, to get to the three I did.

This morning's spin was one space off. I'm sure I will enjoy my $1000 instead.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

ok, now I have the cash slat on my wheel. Looks like I just have 5 things left to get, unless the items pictured get replaced with another cool item. Cletus farm deco, some other house deco, the mountain looking thing(I don't think that's the volcano deco, is it?), Marge and Santa's helper snowmen. I'm at 37K gift cards, I've gotten 2 tokens from presents and just the daily egg nog bar token. I've only hit the silver gift card slat once and have landed on items every other time.

Sitting on $6M, sold off my house farms and kept about 20-25 houses. Now I can take my foot off the accelerator with this game and just check in more leisurely, I was trying to click on my 110 blue houses 3x a day, wake up, mid-day and right before I fell asleep.

I can't seem to get anything but $1000 on that damn wheel.. I've tried swiping fast and slow to see if it could land on a good space. It seems to speed up or slow down on its own so it lands on a $1000 space. It doesn't help that if you were to get any of the good prizes, they get filled with more $1000 spots.... I just want the things that you can't get anywhere else, at the moment... Helter Shelter... Clause Co....

The fact the odds are weighted to lesser prizes is fine; part of the game. But they fact that's coded/presented so poorly as to appear to cheat, as you said the speed up or the pointer sticking high, but giving out the lower prize, is awful.

Well.. got the Helter Shelter after all.. Just got it on a spin just now. At least I got that one since I don't think you can buy it any other way, at least at this point.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

Wheel is pissing me off, I have 25 million cash and it keeps giving me $1000! The majority of my wheel is cash and it sucks.

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

Just spun five times and got Claus Co. and five wads of cash, which is better return than I had been getting, I guess. The last couple I was lingering on the abominable snowman until it finally trickled into cash.

I agree the physics of the wheel are terrible. They should steal the code from Hay Day.

Also, I finished quest part 12 and have Marge and Lisa free but it's not giving me part 13. EDIT: Rebooted the app and I'm on my way.

Of the remaining items.. I guess I'm hoping for Plow King so that I have that alt costume for Barney. Not sure about the Yeti.. though Claus Co would be nice too I guess.

I really want the yeti, perhaps because Santa Claus Is Comin' to Town has always been a favorite.

I got Plow King
Spoiler:
and it has a quest attached too

Yeah.. I still have the Mr. Plow quest to do after I got him off the wheel. I think there is yet another quest if you have both Mr. Plow and Plow King.

Yeah, I think last year's Christmas is especially key. Have fun winning your building skins, though it's still better than cash (at least for me).

Interesting. I started on the Mr Plow quest but then wanted to keep him free for the main one.

I had no idea people were playing this here! I play it every day. Time to add you guys to my neighborhood! :-). Username is JustSamDC. Btw- I unlocked the raccoon but can't find it anywhere in my inventory. Did this happen to anyone else?

Re: The Simpsons: Tapped Out

And to be ready for Christmas, I received an email from Paypal this morning. iTunes digital GCs 20% off. Bought a $100 code for $80

And yeah, hate the wheel too. Receiving cash and snowmen.

I couldn't finish the Christmas quest last night, one of the last tasks was to open 50 presents, and I didn't have 50... and the ones in the water weren't showing in the count. Anyway, I finally finished this morning.
