That's why I'm holding off on Witcher 3 till I get a 4k TV and xbox Scarlett. I bet there'll be a re-release of that game and cyberpunk for next gen.

Not surprised one bit....considering the hype and what little we've seen, this game has a lot in it and a lot going on so between the "Polishing" and getting the "Bugs Out"...sort of expected....but September release is basically right there with PS5 and Xbox Series X...one has to wonder if be better to wait even more and take advantage of the new hardware.

Rumour: Cyberpunk 2077 Was delayed Because It Runs Badly On PS4 and Xbox One.....
https://www.pushsquare.com/news/2020...4_and_xbox_one
I would be surprised this rumour is true. The game is very intensive and even in the past back in March 2018 in this article, they said this....https://www.onlysp.com/cyberpunk-2077-rumor-e3-no-multiplayer/
In fact, the director implied that no current consoles will be strong enough to run the game, so Cyberpunk may find itself as the catalyst for the next generation of technology:
“Technology-wise, Cyberpunk is very advanced. Our technology is ready to interface with future generations. The game is developed in such a way that it can use very powerful future equipment, but I cannot tell you more beyond that today, as no future generation of consoles has been announced.”

Since I'm still on a launch Xbox One (even came with the Kinect), maybe this will make me upgrade at launch to the new Xbox since I skipped the One X.

Well...to add to the speculation on Cyberpunk Runs Badly On PS4 and Xbox One....this story out today from ID Software saying that Doom Eternal is pushing the PS4 to it's limit.....if that's the case...and no dig at Doom...Cyberpunk has a lot going on with all the NPC's and stuff flowing thru in the city so one can say then, if Doom Eternal is pushing the PS4 to it's limit, then Cyberpunk doesn't stand a chance unless you get some graphical downgrade.... https://www.pushsquare.com/news/2020...e_to_its_limit

Perfect. This means it won't have to sit on the shelf waiting for the series X to come out so I can play the enhanced version.

I applaud developers for delaying to minimize bugs and enhance overall game play. A game of this magnitude has to be a chore to test. Plus, this should mean the day one patch should only be a couple gig instead of 5 or 6 gig right?😜

I wonder if the plan about the full next-gen enhancements have changed. Those weren't supposed to come until 2021.
