Is this going to get optimized anytime soon or at all?

I’m downloading a 40GB update. Is this game finally gonna be optimized and you know, playable?

**guess not, but heading in right direction**

The newest hotfix finally allowed me to finally finish a glitched Side Mission, which net me a Trophy for completing all in the area.

I think I'm just going to wait for the next big patch to finish up the game. I enjoyed it enough at launch, but I may as well wait until they're done with major fixes before diving back in.

I have a feeling this game will never be fixed to the point of playing without bugs. They'll eventually cut their "loses" (already made a huge profit on the game) and move on.

Re: Cyberpunk 2077 (12/10/2020: PS4, XB1, PC)

Yeah, probably not. I do really like the world, though. I could just go ahead and wait two years for a bunch of fan patches to take care of the rest. :)

It's impressive how much this game changed perceptions of the developer. I definitely wouldn't preorder a sequel and even Witcher 4 would be a "wait and see".

Is it ever gonna be optimized?

The only bugs I've had with the game are visual (disappearing gun or character clipping out once in a while), though I've only played about six hours. My main hang up is it just isn't that interesting of a game/world.

Only when they release the actual PS5/SeriesX version of the game, which they're supposedly working on.

I felt the exact same way at first, but after a while it got a lot better and way more interesting. I'm near the end of my second playthrough.

Update: Finished my second playthrough, female V this time, plus very different ending based on choices, etc., which made it even more enjoyable. Loved it. Had been playing with no crashes/issues for some time, until: As I'm watching the end credits, which have certain video messages that pop up from characters, boom it froze, error, shut down. I just laughed and that was that.

Anyone know what the 30 GB update is all about?

It's about 30 gigs more than what I want to download right now.

If only a thing called "Google" existed.

Really... It's been years and YEARS of this same old shit. "Oldboy/Scott65476" must have been able to learn to use Google by now. It's possible we may have had a slow burn troll all these years (that would have been QUITE a commitment though).

They're way overdue for releasing a Series X /PS5 optimized version, yeah? Can't remember when they promised it'd be out.
Whatever. I'll wait until this is on sale for like $10.

They’re saying the second half of 2021 (which is also the timeframe they’ve laid out for the Witcher III spit and polish).

I asked a simple question in a thread dedicated to the game. So what? Isn’t this what this thread is for…info, playing experiences, etc…?

Not quite the price I was hoping for, but some others might want to jump on this.

I'll wait until it's free on Game Pass. I'm in no rush to play this.

you know, it’s too bad too. This game had such promise and Keanu Reeves. That it turned out to be a pretty big shitshow overall (I mean for PS and MS to refund a game after purchase and been played? Has that ever happened before?), you know is no good and really shits on the legacy of Mr. Keanu Charles Reeves ;) But, let’s face it, the man is a legend at only 57. For good or bad, but IMO mostly good to great and he basically just stands there. That’s what makes him a legend. FU Cyberpunk for taking a pop culture icon and trashing him by giving us a very subpar game with numerous bugs from the start and that still, for the most part, is crap.

I mean, to each his own, but I liked it so much I played it through twice. Reeves is awesome in it, as are the other story lines, and they fixed most of the glitches so I totally recommend it.

Ok. I mean, I have it, started it, enjoyed. But, I didn’t do much. But I enjoyed, I’m not gonna lie. But, something must have come along when I was ready to play and I quickly abandoned. Just have a few more prior to getting back into. I’m not opposed.

It was awesome, but I played it on PS5, so I rarely had an issue. Now with all of these major updates, I'm curious to see how it will affect giving it another playthrough at some point.

Re: Cyberpunk 2077 (12/10/2020: PS4, XB1, PC)

I ended up putting in about 87-88+ hours into the game on PS4, glitches and all.

Had a fun time with the game, outside the crashes & one of the missions I posted above that I initially wasn't able to finish.

Luckily, I never lost any of my saves during the crashes.
