I don't think there has been an official date other than Q3/Q4 2013. Gamestop and Amazon have it on 10/31, Best Buy has it listed on 10/22, and Walmart 12/31 which I'm guessing are all placeholders. If it is indeed Q3 then I'd guess we'll have to wait for E3.

Played a full level yesterday co-op. Geezus the fucking intro was long. But once in the game, it was fun. A different way of split-screening when characters are separated. And it takes a bit to learn everyone's powers in relation to tasking. Certain tasks need to be done as certain heroes, so say you're Hulk and running around smashing shit up, but you need to build something, you have to switch your character in-game to Iron Man. It was pretty fun. The level played was against Sandman. I have never played any Lego games to be able to compare.

Extremely positive review from IGN. Sounds like it's as good, if not better than Lego Batman 2.

The demo for this was hella fun. Got to play as Hulk, Iron Man and Spider-man. I was going to get this for my son for Xmas, but I don't know if we (I) can wait that long!

I am a sucker for these Lego games. Not a huge fan of the POTC or the Indiana Jones, but the rest have been good. This one looks amazingly fun. I always prefered Marvel over DC, and the open world environment looks like it is cool. Picking it up today.

So far I'm a few hours in. This is set up exactly like Lego Batman 2. You have linear levels, then you have the open world stuff. Some characters are great to play with like Black Widow, because her gun is fast and it helps to clear areas. Some are not really that good, like Wolverine. He's slow and doesn't seem that powerful. Overall, if you liked Lego Batman 2, you'll like this. It's fun as hell.

Definitely going to get the XBOX One version of this for my son. He's played the demo a dozen or so times and seems pretty excited about it. He saw the reserve cards at Wal-Mart and freaked but sadly they didn't have the XBOX One version.

Re: LEGO Marvel Super Heroes
played it for a few hours last night. Its very similar to Lego Batman 2, but i think i am enjoying this more. The levels seem to be more enjoyable to go through. Some of the levels with Batman felt tedious, especially on replaying them. I am loving the open world setting and this will add a lot to longevity. The only issue i am having so far is with flying characters. The controls are a little poor. Its weird as the flying in Batman 2 was simple and effective. They have changed it a little here and not sure if its for the better. Maybe in time it will be more fluid. But so far so good generally.

I never played Lego batman 2 coop so i don't know if it is the same. Holy shit the rotating split screen thing is trippy.
