Hmmm. Well, I do have a couple more firefighters to save, so I guess I'll try doing a couple of those.

I said fuck it and watched the video instead

Spoiler:
So we're those guys exposed to the fear toxin? Or was that even supposed to be Batman?

Arkham City had good DLC with Harley Quinn's Revenge and Arkham Origins even had good DLC with the Mr. Freeze sidestory, but the DLC in Arkham Knight is really disappointing. Disappointing is my overall impression with Arkham Knight in general.

BTW, whatever happened to Harley Quinn's pregnancy? That was hinted at in Arkham City, but it was never mentioned once in Arkham Knight. I just now remembered that bit from Arkham City. It looks like the developers forgot about it too since it was never mentioned in Knight...
Thanks, I think I actually got the Harley and Scarecrow DLC for free with my pre-order, but I'm glad I saved my money by not buying the season pass. I may have to get that Batman '89 skin though!

Re: Batman: Arkham Knight - 6/23/15 on Xbox One, PS4, and PC

I thought the Harley DLC was *loads* of fun and an extremely different style of fighting, stealth, and gameplay.

Sadly, it was about 5 minutes long or something. At least it was free with my preorder.

The Batgirl DLC was entertaining enough, but her special "Uber-Hack" ability was kind of pointless. And that one sequence of absolute time-limited uber-frustration almost caused full pigeon genocide in the South Florida tri-county area.

So much I love about this game. SO much. But then...

I went back and did enough to get the Knightfall Protocol. Then I spent another 30 mins driving and flying around the city looking for the last three road blocks I needed to complete that section with no luck, so I think now I'm officially done. I'm not interested in doing the Riddler stuff anyways, so it's probably a good stopping point. I also did the short Harley Quinn mission, it was OK. I didn't do the Scarecrow Nightmare missions though, are those any good?

I finished the main story. I finished 13/14 of the most wanted missions. I have no desire to ever do the riddler trophies. Can I start the short version of the Knightfall protocol? Where do I start it? I am top of the GCPD but I don't see the batsignal anywhere?

When you go to the mission select screen, do you see the option to activate the protocol?

Re: Batman: Arkham Knight - 6/23/15 on Xbox One, PS4, and PC

I just bought the Batman '89 skin. It looks beautiful, and it's definitely kicking my nostalgia meter into overdrive. However, the Batmobile doesn't support Battle Mode, so I can't use the '89 Batmobile at all in my New Game+ (I can use the skin on Batman, but not the Batmobile), and I can use it in my current completed game, but not in tank mode. I realize that in the movie the Batmobile didn't act as a tank, but that's pretty shitty to make people pay for an in-game item that's handicapped and can't be used at all in the main game.

Wait, what? That doesn't make any sense. Hopefully that's just a glitch that they plan on patching. What would be the point in giving you a vehicle you can't use more than half the time?

It really made me wish they'd release DLC that takes place in the Burton movies.

Unrelated, but when I was at Dave and Busters the other day I saw a Batman driving game where it looked like you get to choose a variety of different Batmobile's over the years. I didn't get a chance to try it, but it looked neat

I skipped most of the Riddler stuff in the earlier games because I hate timed challenges, but I haven't played the new game so I don't know if those are similar.

Yeah, the single worst part of the game not called Riddler challenges.

It's a really fun game, tough though. I think they got Conroy and Hamill to do voice work in it as well.

Man, I hope that the game gets better because I hate maneuvering the Batmobile. I'm at the very early stages of the game when I'm trying to escort Ivy and is annoying the crap out of me.

Well, it's an arcade game, designed to siphon tokens out of you, so of course it's tough! But I'll agree that it's fun, kinda made me miss going to arcades.

The Batmobile remains a major part of the game, so it doesn't get any easier if you're hoping for less missions that require it. I got used to it and didn't think it was that bad at all by the middle of the game, but others seemed to have a lot of trouble.

I'm still not liking the Batmobile sections of the game. I think it's a good idea for me to spend some of the skills upgrade points in strengthening my batmobile skills set.

Re: Batman: Arkham Knight - 6/23/15 on Xbox One, PS4, and PC

Strengthening the Batmobile will absolutely help make the Batmobile sections a bit easier to tolerate, but if you don't like them you're never going to like them. Because as you get stronger, you end up having to face more tanks...so in essence you're just keeping up with the escalation.

It's funny I normally hate vehicle missions in games even when they're primary parts of games like Grand Theft Auto or whatever but this game I had little problem with the Batmobile at all. After I figured out the tank mode controls I had little problem with it whatsoever.
