Re: Starhawk (PS3) Thread
The game is probably dead meat despite being pretty creative. It's not enough like Warhawk to please fans of that game, and it's not mainstream enough to make much of an impact in a crowded market.
It's a shame they didn't just take Warhawk to the next level with more destruction and better graphics.

Re: Starhawk (PS3) Thread
While they would seem similar at face value...similarly named third person shooters with vehicles...I'd say there are more differences than similarities between the two games.
First and foremost, based on my very limited time in the beta, Starhawk doesn't even feel familiar...not even in a spiritual successor kind of way. If anything the game reminds me more of Red Faction than Warhawk.

Import or placeholder cover art DDD is legit no less.
(Nevermind, checked the UPC, it's US, it's placeholder coverart - http://www.overstock.com/Books-Movie...ID=207442&fp=F ).

Has DDD cleaned up their act? Not that I'm getting this either way, but the last time I ordered from them it was a nightmare -- no way to track or cancel my order and it took over a month to finally arrive.

I heard they dropper to 4 player split screen option. That's disappointing. My friends and I used to have it LAN parties with warhawk. I wonder if that could be added back in later?

Dropped to 39.99 at Gamestop and Amazon. Make way for 20 bucks sometime soon, I guess. How's the online for this thing anyway, are there enough people playing to make this worthwhile?

Bought this game a while ago...played it for 10 mins and turned it off. Started to play it again this week and i have to admit that i am really digging it. A hell of a lot of fun. Surprised that this game didn't take off. Worthy of a sequel.

Re: Starhawk (PS3) Thread
Starhawk alienated the Warhawk fans who'd hoped for a more direct sequel to the latter game. We had a weekly Warhawk game of 8-12 guys on this forum (and beyond) but none of us could get into Starhawk.

I never played Warhawk. Was it any good? I seem to recall it was a multi-player game only wasnt it? I have a really shit net connection....and presume it has no offline play. I saw the game for like $3 on a few occasions.
