Re: The Elder Scrolls Online

Played for about an hour last night. Long enough to get out of the tutorial and get to Daggerfall. The game feels good on console and when it's working, it's fun.

Re: The Elder Scrolls Online

Just got this on PS4. I like to play games online where you can BS while in chat, and this seems like a good opportunity.

Haven't put more than 20 minutes into it yet, though.

Re: The Elder Scrolls Online

Careful Bus, it is a double edged sword. It is proximity based so you will hear tons of babies crying, noobs not realizing chat is on, random asshats, etc.

I'm not seeing a lot of action about this one... is it not that good?

I meant more like Playstation chat with friends.

Re: The Elder Scrolls Online

And I don't mind proximity chat. I played DC Online for a bit but the constant weird flows of text took me out of the game.

The last MMOs I played with any regularity were UO and YHH Puzzle Pirates.

Re: The Elder Scrolls Online

Pretty decent write up from Push Square (PS4) on this. I really wish I had gotten this but with Diablo and now Planetside 2 plus still haven't started Dying Light...not sure when but maybe later....

Re: The Elder Scrolls Online

Reached Level 10 earlier. So far, so good. It's not going to be as deep as something like Dragon Age, but I'm having fun with it.

I had not touched it since all the launche issues. Fired it up Sunday again and had a blast. Nice to see it all running smooth

However, once again, the MMO mechanics of the release will sometimes put a dampener on your escapades, purely because of the whole thing works. Utilising the much flaunted mega server technology, you're almost always going to be adventuring alongside strangers whether you like it or not, and that means exploring supposedly abandoned ruins with about ten other players sprinting around the place, mopping up enemies before you can even unsheathe your blade.
No thanks. And this coming from someone who put over 300 hours into Skyrim.

Re: The Elder Scrolls Online

Now at Level 20. The game has been really fun and I don't have issues with it for not being immersive in the alone-in-a-dungeon way that the past games have excelled in. The multiplayer makes up for it.

Re: The Elder Scrolls Online

FWIW....this is $39.00 at Best Buy this week....

Me and two others started Dying Light but I've always wanted this. Since the three of us can only play together two nights out of the week I'll probably grab this. I'll just have to find some PS4 friends.

Re: The Elder Scrolls Online

Picked this up from the GMG sale for $14 and have been playing for a few days now. It's surprisingly good. I'm only at level 8 but I've been enjoying the hell out of pretty much everything so far.

Re: The Elder Scrolls Online

Resurrecting an old thread...I still have $60 in Microsoft Store credit from buying my nephew an Xbox One for Christmas. And well I only have about a month or two left to use it and I was thinking of Super Dungeon Bros and Elder Scrolls Online. I noticed that on the Microsoft Store page, that there is this Premium Edition with the crowns and it sounded like a pretty good deal for $39.99 and it would be free after my store credit. Now, the only thing that worries me at that price, is it just the crowns? That's what is pictured...but if you go to Xbox.com (and it runs $99.99 there), it seems that edition is the game and the crowns like the description says. What do you guys think?

Re: The Elder Scrolls Online

Well, this was $10 on PSN, so I went for it (it should be done downloading all 60gigs by the time I get home).

I've been hearing that the various updates have made it much more palatable for the single-player experience, much more so than when it was first released. That, coupled with the cheap price, made me say "why not". Now, where am I gonna find the time? I already have a nasty back-log of games!

Re: The Elder Scrolls Online

I cannot count how many times I've wanted to get this thinking it was getting a bit old, many have moved on and not able to find others to play with doing some of the co-op stuff...plus Morrowind is right around the corner and still trying to understand how the game mechanics work. I've looked at videos and liked what I saw but the factions vs faction vs faction thing, leveling, co-op part and all...just wasn't sure. But it's a steal this week at the price $13.00 in the PS Store. I've seen one or two on my friends list still playing but they're way up there......and we're trying Skyforge and see how it works.

Re: The Elder Scrolls Online

The Gold Edition is also $20 ($16 GCU) this week at Best Buy. Sold out online, but local stores might still have some.

Re: The Elder Scrolls Online

I guess there might be some appeal to the game...The gold version is sold out and no pickup in a 250 mile radius. Been nice to try and still might look at the PS Store.

Re: The Elder Scrolls Online

Hello

I grabbed the $10 version off the PS Store and frankly liking the game a lot. It's more detailed with far more character building than most games I've played with several parts to build your character with several sub-parts to them...like crafting alone. Doesn't matter where I go, there are a lot of players running around doing their thing.

I'm only Level 7 (almost 8) and had some questions I wanted to post on the main sites forum but when I try to join I get...."No Invitation Found" message......no idea what that is.

So in case some veteran players read this I was hoping they could help me....

I've go a lot of items in my bag and Bank already. I say half seems to be like I just got back from the grocery store with a majority of items for Beverage Recipes. As it stands now I only have two of those; one for Stamina and one for Health. I was going to buy a Cooking one for Magica...no cooking recipes.

Rest is combinations of with a majority of Alchemy, Enchantment, Clothier and a little of Blacksmith and Woodworking I've acquired a few "Green Items" that I don't know if I should hold, sell, breakdown or research. All have less armor and damage than what I'm carrying.

So I don't know just how or what's the best way to manage my bag and Bank as to what to keep and carry. Anytime I get ore, skins, wood I get 10+ and then beak those down. But it's the Food along with the flowers & stones that's starting to take up space. I've sold a few Spells and Enchantments that I didn't have use for but at best I have maybe 15-18 open slots that get filled in a hurry when I go out.

I'm a Breton with Sorcerer class so I'm trying to work on the Alchemy, Enchantment and Clothier mainly which I'm gathering as much of materials for them. But at the same time still pick up some items for the other trades. I'm slowly getting a handle on the crafting part....just don't know if I shoud hold onto the results or sell some?

Re: The Elder Scrolls Online

If anybody is still looking for a copy (Gold Edition), I have an extra sealed copy for Xbox One (long story)...I'll let it go for $20 including shipping, same as the sale. Forgot I had it sitting up on my sale shelf...

Re: The Elder Scrolls Online

I don't like how there's all these other players running around doing the same things as you are. It feels like you're in a museum or an amusement park. It really breaks immersion like nothing else. Is there a way to keep from seeing other players around you?
