Ahhh I got the Astarion Halsin scene!!!!

Only took me 22 hours. I probably could have done it sooner but didn't know how. I have a save right at that point so that I can come back to it at any time and then continued on another save for my game.

I can quit playing now

re: Baldur's Gate III (PC, PS5, XSS, XSX)

The fudge is wrong with this game, one minute I'm romancing Halsin the next I'm getting dirty with

(act III romance spoilers)
Spoiler:
A mind flayer. And everyone in my party is watching horrified. I know Halsin said it wasn't cheating but I still feel ashamed he's watching.

I love the humor in this game.

Act III is huge and I've given up the notion that I'll be done anytime soon.

It has been announced that the game will be released later this year on Xbox X/S with no split screen on the S.

Between this and FF14 launching around the same time, it seems like XBOX has finally realized that millions of gamers have likes beyond FPS and Sports.

Re: Baldur's Gate III (PC, PS5, XSS, XSX)

Can't wait for FF16 on the PC.

Got stuck for a bit but I'm unstuck again had a couple days where I had to leave the game to clear my head and come back to it and I did and got through the part I was stuck on, I only get to game 10 minutes here 10 minutes there and this is not that kind of game. But I have kids I gotta drive around and I can't give up sleep. Slowly making it through act 3. I read ahead because I just needed to know how the story ended Now I have one quest to tie up and then on to a meatier one.

Just wrapped up
Spoiler:
Cazador and I ascended myself so that 7000 vampires weren't unleashed on BG.

This game is sooooo satisfying. I'm at 26 hours and I'm guessing less than 10 left? I still got a bit to do before I can get to the end.

I probably won't do a second walkthrough right away. I'll probably just do Speedstorm until Starfield is released, and Sea of Stars releases Monday I'll start that one and try to finish it off close to Starfield release. Although I have a feeling Starfield is a game you can play alongside others.

BG3 takes a lot out of you I think, thinking, concentration, it just envelops you, it's not a pick up and put down game, it's very immersive and you have to give it your full attention. I can see 4 more walkthroughs, Dark Urge give in, Dark Urge resist, 100%, and my own custom character, since Astarion was origin.

This is one of the best games I have ever played in my life and was well worth it, already got my money's worth. I'll try to wrap it up as quickly as I can to move on to the next game. And by that I mean 10 hours

Even with your god mode nonsense, being that far into the story at 26 hours tells me you missed the majority of what this game offers. I just finished my 1st playthrough at just under 70 hours. I have 90 logged per steam so about 20 hours of re-loads from dying.

Already started run 2 with an evil Bard criminal.

I'm on purpose going straight to the end the first time. I'll do a 100 percent walkthrough. I want a straight to the end Astarion, dark urge give in, dark urge resist, custom, and THEN I'll do a one hundred percent one. I wanted to experience the main storyline first, that was by design.

Finished my first walkthrough. 32 hours 11 minutes. That was thoroughly satisfying. One of the best games I've ever played in my life.

Gonna leave it for now and do Sea of Stars. Quite a change

This game is just a Masterpiece, capital M. It is the perfect game, flaws and all.

Did you have multiple cheats on for the whole play through?

Does god mode count as a single cheat?

Mods want me to spoiler when I talk about cheats.
Spoiler:
Unlimited HP, always max dice roll, max approval from whole party, unlimited movement, all stats maxed out, max level from start, unlimited gold, unlimited items.

And it was everything I wanted it to be. I got a single player game (I would never use cheats in multiplayer or games where getting stuff puts you above other people even in single missions), played it my way, got everything I wanted out of it. I will do more playthroughs but this game takes a lot out of you and I need a break from it. But I will come back to it through the years.

I consider "Always roll 20" separate from god mode.

Don't you think you're missing out on some of the crucial game experience by rigging it that much? I mean like I don't begrudge turning down the difficulty of a FPS, but if you rig it so every gunshot registers as a fatal headshot no matter where you aim the gun, then it's not really the game any more.
I would hope you take some of the training wheels off next time to experience the game. Calling it the best game you ever played is like reading the Cliff Notes for Pride and Prejudice and declaring it the best book you ever read.

I get very high anxiety when I die in games, it's not an enjoyable experience, and I play games to have fun. This was some of the most fun gaming I've ever done.

Dying in a game happens. Cheats are one thing but you kind of overdo it. You give up on games way too easily.

Started a second playthrough with a custom character. Gonna try to just do a relaxing walking around doing quests at my leisure walkthrough. I'm walking around the crash site now.

Re: Baldur's Gate III (PC, PS5, XSS, XSX)

I played a little bit of this so far. It does look pretty incredible. Kind of surprised by the long load times, thought we weren't getting those this generation.
It's a cool game but I am just scratching the surface. What food do I need to waste in order to sleep the night in camp? Seems pretty unnecessary, and maybe I should have waited longer before making it night, I just didn't know yet.
My character accidentally looks so much like a blond, goateed Adam Driver, it's pretty disconcerting.

Although, in all fairness, it's her copy of the game. She can play it as she pleases.

All food is designated as camp supplies and tells you how much it fills. Assuming you're playing on Balanced, it costs 40 supplies to fully rest. Long resting is important because it's what you do to refill your spell slots after you use them in battle as well as advance story forward.

One tip for camp supplies is that you never need them in your inventory. While you're picking them up in the open world, you can always Send to Camp so they don't fill up your weight limit on a character.
