Re: Ultimate Indie Bundle Thread - Humble, Royale, Gala, etc.
The Humble Botanicula Debut Bundle has launched:
http://www.humblebundle.com/ It features games from Amanita Design, including the new release Botanicula. The games in the bundle are:
Soundtracks are included with Botanicula, Machinarium, and Samorost 2 Steam keys are only available for purchases over $5. Average price is already at $8.74 |
Re: Ultimate Indie Bundle Thread - Humble, Royale, Gala, etc.
News about the $5 minimum: Apparently it's just for this bundle, as Botanicula is a new release that just came out today, and is selling for $10 at Steam and other sites. They didn't want to undermine those sales too much with $1 Steam codes. Future bundles should return to a $1 minimum for Steam codes.

Re: Ultimate Indie Bundle Thread - Humble, Royale, Gala, etc.
First bundle without a game that really sells it to me. But the movie and soundtracks old be decent, so perhaps all just put it all to charity and consider it a donation.

That game isn't yet on Steam, as far as I can tell.
http://www.gog.com/news/preorder_botanicula Some people who pre-ordered are a bit miffed about the bundle. I assumed it was also on Steam since you can get a Steam code for it in the bundle. Since I already own Machinarium (twice -- it's free on GFWL, at least it was), I think I'll pass on this one -- my first Humble Bundle "pass". Also, is there really not any price you'd pay for the bundle? You can still pay as little as $0.01 for the DRM-free downloads. You could think of your initial pledge as a "demo" amount, then if you like the game you could increase your pledge if you wanted. BTW, in case anyone didn't know, Amanita Design has a number of free point-and-click web games on their site, including Samorost 1: http://amanita-design.net/games.html |
Re: Ultimate Indie Bundle Thread - Humble, Royale, Gala, etc.
I hadn't thought of that. If it's not on my Steam account (or at least Desura), I doubt I'd ever find my copy. Still, I like your "demo" idea. So you can increase your previous pledge up to the $5 amount if you want to later (during the run of the bundle) and still get the Steam key?

Are you sure about Machinarium being free for GFWL? I can't find any reference to that, and it's not on GFWL at all currently. It was previously in Humble Indie Bundle 2. |

http://support.humblebundle.com/cust...y-or-windosill Also, on the key page, the "Click here to increase your order amount!" link has this: Note: use this form if you'd like to boost the amount recorded on your order. |
Re: Ultimate Indie Bundle Thread - Humble, Royale, Gala, etc.
OK, here's the response from Humble Bundle:
Drew APR 20, 2012 | 10:28AM PDT Hi Jay! You can always add more to your order at any time. When your total exceeds $5 you will be provided with the steam keys at that point. You can add to your purchase by going to your download page, locating the banner towards the top that says “Like what we’re doing? Click here to increase your order amount!” From there, you can add to your existing purchase. I hope you enjoy the games as much as we do! |
Re: Ultimate Indie Bundle Thread - Humble, Royale, Gala, etc.
Thanks for the update, Jay!

Re: Ultimate Indie Bundle Thread - Humble, Royale, Gala, etc.
Indie Royale has added the soundtracks for Inferno+, Slydris, and Ballistic to the Spring Bundle.
http://www.indieroyale.com/ Also, I messed up the initial post: You get the soundtrack for Tobe's Hookshot Escape (free flash game), not Tobe's Vertical Adventure (the game in the bundle). You can download the MP3 soundtrack for Tobe's Vertical Adventure from the developer's site, although you'll need a password from the game to open it: http://www.secretbase.com.sg/download/tobe-series/ |

Got it already. Was the gift going to be A.R.E.S. ? Because I got a copy of that already in Indie Royale 1 also.

Maybe I misunderstand how these bundle gifts work. I was just going to pay near the minimum to get the whole bundle, but instead upped it to $9 or so with the gift option because it appears that you get the three copies of the full bundle that way. Is that the way it works?
I just tend to do the straight-up buy, since I don't want to deal with trying to arrange a group buy. Also, Indie Gala's the only one I know of that offers this multiple copy discount. |
Re: Ultimate Indie Bundle Thread - Humble, Royale, Gala, etc.
I'd buy a gift code from you Trevor, and the other one to if you still have one. :)

Do you have an extra code for the bundle that included Hard Reset? I'd be interested in buying that one.

I think I have extras of three different bundles. My hard drive is full and I haven't even installed these 30+ games I've bought recently, but I'll sort thru these emails and links and figure things out.

Re: Ultimate Indie Bundle Thread - Humble, Royale, Gala, etc.
The Humble Botanicula Debut has added a bonus pack for all customers:
http://www.humblebundle.com/ Amanita Design is upping the ante with oodles of bonus content! All Humble Botanicula Debut customers will now receive a behind-the-scenes Botanicula art book & map collection, a pack of behind-the-scenes photographs & concept art for the feature film Kooky, the experimental interactive music project Osada, and bonus albums from both Floex and DVA, the musicians behind Amanita's evocative soundtracks for Machinarium and Botanicula. |
Re: Ultimate Indie Bundle Thread - Humble, Royale, Gala, etc.
Gamestop is getting into the Indie Bundle game, and releasing one. It's limited to 500 copies, and launches at 12pm Central today:
http://impulsedriven.com/products/ESD-IMP-W2967 The price for the bundle is a flat $12.79. You'll need the Gamestop client installed in order to download and install the games. Games and their normal prices:
Altogether, it's $108 worth of games. And Yet It Moves was in Humble Bundle 3, and Gratuitous Space Battles was in Humble Bundle 4. I think all the others are new to indie bundles. Indie Royale May Hurray Bundle is live
http://www.indieroyale.com/ Games:
Bonus items:
MUSIC BONUS!: For those who pay $7 or your currency equivalent, Starscream's Future, Toward the Edge of Tomorrow in MP3. |
Re: Ultimate Indie Bundle Thread - Humble, Royale, Gala, etc.
I'm confused about the still-live Indie Gala bundle. If you pay less than the average, do you only get the two games now? Because more games were added and I don't want to beat the average if it's only those two bonus games since I already have Altitude (and already have ARES as well). Trying to figure what will be the best bang for my buck.
