Look for the Dungeons and Dragons Anthology: The Master Collection. IF you like old RPG's (and some of the best out there), it includes Baldurs Gate 1 and 2 with expansions, Icewind Dale 1 and 2, Temple of Elemental Evil, and (my fav) Planesape: Torment. Hundreds of hours of awesome for like 20 bucks.

Do the old games that some of you are mentioning even work on modern computers?

For example, one of my favorite games ever is Freelancer that came out back in 2003. I've heard that it won't even work on Vista, so I just assumed that it wouldn't work on Windows 7 either. I'd love to play that game again, but I guess I'm just assuming that it won't work.

Baldur's Gate and Half Life are even older than that.

It just depends on the game really. Some will work on newer hardware, some will work with slight problems, and some won't work at all.

The old Baldur's Gate games do work on modern hardware. I just recently replayed through them a couple months ago with no problems. The first Baldur's Gate game has some graphic issues with modern video cards, but that is easily fixed by running the game in software mode (or using the mod to run it in the BG2 engine).

I haven't played the original Half-Life in ages, so I can't be sure about that one, but HL2 runs well. The Source Engine is very well optimized.

I was not a fan of 1 & 2 back in the day, but I love 3 and New Vegas.

If you have Steam, and you're still looking for some PC games, I have some I can gift to you. I've had most of these sitting in my account for years, since most of my friends own these games already.

Half-Life 2
Bioshock
Secret of Monkey Island: SE
Portal
Frozen Synapse

I also have 3 50% off coupons for Assassins Creed: Revelations that expire April 1st. They say they are tradeable, but I'm not sure how the trading works in Steam. I don't know how I got them. I just noticed they were in my account the other day. I already own Revelations, so they are pretty useless to me.
