I'll purchase it within weeks of its release ...

... as it's a Ubisoft title and the price should drop within the first month.

$60 is a bit much for what appears to be the right to play through and extended South Park ep. Will wait until it drops in price and maybe rent from Redbox to satisfy game cravings.

Some of the previews for it say it might be the best licensed game released.

But whatever. I'm sure COD Extreme Winter is gonna be cool.

For those that haven't seen it, IGN has posted a hands on preview and they're raving about it.

Also, delayed to August 2014.

Re: South Park: The Game (360 & PS3)

Got a Best Buy gift card from my wife for Valentine's day and there wasn't really any game that's out or coming out that I really am wanting. After viewing that 13 minute video and reading more about this, preordered it. Can't wait. Big fan of the show and I like most RPGs so this should be great.

I think it already went gold. Shouldn't be any more delays.

Steam Summer or Winter sale for me. I imagine I'd like to play it again in the future.

Re: South Park: The Game (360 & PS3)

The 8 hours doesn't bother me. Huge fan of South Park. Been waiting years for this game. Matt and Trey are closely involved with this makes me more confident in the product. I'll get $60 out of it just for the laughs it'll give me.

Someone on Gamefaqs thought this game is a quick cash grab. Yeah a game in development for years and almost getting cancelled is a 'quick cash grab'

Same, I've seen coupons for the game for 20-25% off, but I think i'll wait for this to drop under $30 in a few months to grab it.

Re: South Park: The Game (360 & PS3)

meh even if it's only 8 hours i can always sell it for decent money if i burn through it that quickly. Will still keep my eyes peeled when the reviews come out in case i do decide to cancel it and rent it instead but I'm optimistic about it.

I'm assuming not. Gotta get through the meat of the game and write those reviews in time.

http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showpost...postcount=1930

SlasherJPC, a user on NeoGaf and reviewer, says he completed the main quest and most of the side content in 13.5 hours. Which is very disappointing to hear.
I've been playing for about 16 hours and I think I'm about done I've hit what seems to be the level cap (15) but I've done everything and anything I could think of I'm just trying to finish one of the quests
It's already been beaten. 15 hours with side quests
I beat the game today... It took about 16 hours total and I made sure to do EVERY side quest I could find. I roamed around the world a lot, had fun and let me say it is a perfect length.
Want more? Guess that 8 hours max is not really accurate.

I always see the time people say it takes to complete a game and double it. I tend to take my time while playing a game.

Re: South Park: The Game (360 & PS3)

I know that people tend to associate RPG's with a 40 hour span of time, but I don't think it necessarily has to be that way. I'll do the side quests and I'll be exploring as much as I can, so 15 hours actually sounds good to me. It means I may actually be able to wrap up Infamous 2 AND Stick of Truth before Second Son comes out.

Re: South Park: The Game (360 & PS3)

As someone who put almost 200 hrs into Skyrim, I'll be happy to get in and out of South Park in around 20 hours.

Plus I'll probably want to play as different classes, see all the different jokes, etc.
