Re: South Park: The Game (360 & PS3)
Finished it up yesterday and really enjoyed it, despite some minor gripes about technical issues. The story was great, though I wish it'd tilted a little away from crude and towards biting commentary. For the show, they're almost always great at taking people and institutions down a notch or two. The game left most of that out and settled on just going for gross or offensive, which was still hilarious, just a little empty. With the groundwork laid, I really hope they decide to do a sequel or two.
I thought about exploring the world a bit more when I finished, but saw Best Buy was offering $40 in credit, so I traded it in instead. Considering I paid $48 with GCU and got a $20 RZ cert for preordering, it's kind of like they paid me $12 to play through the game. They've really won me over with the new GCU program.

I missed a chimpokomon in the school during the quest to free craig (discovered when my wife was playing the quest with her character). I've since moved onto Day 2 (well the first evening). Am I able to go back into the school after I

Re: South Park: The Game (360 & PS3)
I just finished it and really enjoyed it. I was expecting it to be amusing and full of references, but was pleasantly surprised by the number of genuine laugh out loud moments there were.
The RPG and combat elements were a bit weaker. I liked all the different attacks, specials, comments etc, but really disliked the QTE aspect. It made combat a bit too tedious and drawn out. Since the game allows you to get quite over powered doing side quests I ended up just spamming my best specials and mostly one or two shotting all but tougher bosses. I likely missed some good special attacks by enemies because of this.

At stores, I liked seeing how the displays for this game were completely bare, making it apparent that the game is selling really well.

I finished it the other night. About 15 hours for me. I think I got close to half the achievements. I don't really have a desire to play it again, but I have to say it was one of the greatest games I ever played. Just 100% joy.

I was just wondering if you need the dvd in the drive whilst playing the pc version?
Otherwise I'm purchasing the digital download.

I can't even remember the last time one needed the disc in the drive while playing a PC game. It hasn't been that way for nearly a decade.

This review does a good job at explaining what you can expect from the gameplay, without ruining any surprises.
It's RPG elements aren't too complicated, so if you're not familiar with that stuff, you can still get by just fine. It also has an adjustable difficulty to help out as well. But if you like South Park at all, you need to play this game, even if you hate RPGs.

I'm about three hours into this game and loving it. Using the City Wok guy as my "summon power" was absolutely hilarios!
