wasn't this Kojima's last MGS game?

Re: Metal Gear Solid 5 (or Metal Gear 5olid)

Hasn't Kojima said every Metal Gear game since MGS2 would be his last one? I bet he will be back for MGS6, and he will once again say it will be his last one.

Seeing as Konami took his fucking name off the cover, I kind of doubt it.

I wasn't aware of that since I honestly haven't paid much attention to this game, but there's no reason to be rude about it. I haven't really been into the Metal Gear series since MGS3. I just know it's been a recurring tradition for Kojima to say every Metal Gear game is his last one.

If Kojima can buy the rights to MGS from Konami...

Re: Metal Gear Solid 5 (or Metal Gear 5olid)

Will this be a 27 hour movie, or a game I can play?

I havent really enjoyed one of these since PS1 days

I have stayed away from reading through reviews and just glancing over but from what I have seen this does not have the long drawn out cut scenes of old if that is what you are concerned about

No, the reviews definitely agree that there's less exposition and more action in this game compared to previous MGS games. The only negative thing I've heard is that instead of two huge open worlds (Afghanistan & Africa), it could've benefited with some variety had it been three slightly smaller worlds instead.

Desert and jungle. The two staples of every MGS game. Lol.

The reviews are stellar for this. I just pre-ordered at Best Buy, I noticed it was eligible for the $10 back deal. That plus the gamers club discount makes it a no-brainer.

Re: Metal Gear Solid 5 (or Metal Gear 5olid)

I have the LE ordered so I can give everyone the Bionic finger.

As great as these reviews are, I'm a little worried that the open ended-ness and clever AI of this game will make it REALLY hard for me to complete any mission. I'm worried I might rage-quit it really fast. Then again since I spent $80 on the LE, maybe I'll feel more obligated to stick with it.

Except MGS1 and MGS2.

I'm not the only one that thinks that the new Metal Gear has an erection, right?

Re: Metal Gear Solid 5 (or Metal Gear 5olid)

all the positive reviews got me to pre-order from BB. thankfully the reviews came out in plenty of time, so you can still preorder for the $10 bonus.

Lol at how he's posing it at the last minute. Obviously a game store since there's like a bunch of copies of the game (among others) behind him.

I wonder what lucky person will be picking up their "brand new but opened to prevent theft" special edition from Gamestop?

I know a few people that work at GameStop that said they aren't getting the CE's in store.

What a mature person.

The first thing I would've done would be to make that hand give the finger.
