Versions of Guitar Hero for Wndows?

I'd really like to have 1 or 2 but havent found these versions for windows. All I've found on amazon is Legends of Rock. Is this the only version of the game made for windows?

I don't believe 1 and 2 ever got made for Windows. Here's a link for some others.

GH III - http://www.amazon.com/Guitar-Hero-II.../dp/B000YQ7B5W
GH:WT http://www.amazon.com/Guitar-Hero-Wo...1529036&sr=1-1
GH:Aerosmith http://www.amazon.com/Guitar-Hero-Ae...1529065&sr=1-3

I think that's pretty much it as far as PC versions go.

You might want to try Frets on Fire. A decent GH clone.

I really wanted 1 or 2 bc of the soundtrack. playing some of those songs like Killer Queen and Take Me Out were pretty fun.

I haven't played it in a while but FOF let's you use mp3 files for the songs so any song is possible. Some people on their forums have the track packs already put together for each of the GH games.

It requires a real guitar, so it's probably not what you're looking for, but Rocksmith is coming to PC and has "Take Me Out." I'm hoping it will get unofficial content made for it, because it will be such a niche that I don't expect much DLC.

So does anyone know if Frets on Fire is compatible with a USB Playstation guitar?

I used my old Xbox USB xplorer. I would think the ps3 one would work as well. Haven't tried it though.

If if it's PS3, yes. If it's PS2, it sounds like you need a controller adapter.

Re: Versions of Guitar Hero for Wndows?

Thanks everyone for the help. Downloaded Frets on Fire and the GH song packs and it works pretty good. I'm gonna pick up a PS3 guitar hopefully it'll work good.
