Re: Borderlands 2: "xbox360/ps3/pc" -2012

I finished all of the sidequests and probably grinded a bit dropping into other people's games, and I ended up at 33 and a half.

I'm kind of convinced that the game moderates your XP from kills so you are more or less the same level at the end regardless of how you play the game.

Not sure if this is allowed here, but I have a spare level 50 Conference Call shotgun that I can trade if someone who has the creature slaughter DLC can add me to their game so I can get there. I am on PS3, and my username is RoyFurious.

I don't know if you can get in there. My buddy has it, I didn't and it wouldn't let me in when he was playing. Maybe that's changed or something.

I think he would have to take you there. You start in Sanctuary first, and then he would fast travel with you to the Creature Slaughter. However, it is possible they changed that with the latest update.

Re: Borderlands 2: "xbox360/ps3/pc" -2012

Am I still to low for it to get good?

I am a level 7 Mechromancer. Right before fighting Flynt. I have yet to get a decent gun, shield, health regen., etc... Getting a little frustrated. Really don't remember not getting good stuff in B1, but thought I had good stuff prior to this...

So my question, am I still at to low a level to get any good stuff?

That's the thing. I have yet to see something higher than level 5 and no color greater than green! This fucking sucks!!

I'm thinking about going back to my level 5 Commando, but I do love that deathbot!!

I think Scott is remembering BL1 wrong, in regards to the weapons, money drops, etc. It took awhile to get going too.

You're still basically in the Introduction section of the game. Nobody has any good stuff at that point, and yes you're too low a level.

I understand completely. I paid my $60. You mean I don't automatically get the achievements and cutscenes? Lame!

I'm on PS3 and have the Creature Slaughter DLC. Feel free to add me and jump in one of my games. Your plan is slightly flawed though because the game doesn't allow fast travel to it. I can only fast travel to the Wildlife Preserve, and then run to it from there. I'm curious if it would be open if all the players didn't have it.

Edited to add: I just did some research and a lot of people are saying they've gotten into it without having it themselves. I guess it only matters if the host has it. So yeah, I'll take you there. Send me friend request... PSN ID is below.

Does it work to do the USB backup thing to avoid the Badass reset issue?

The best stuff I've got is from doing missions. I'm dead serious. Good loot drops from killing enemies and looting chests has been practically nil for me.

Don't get your hopes up. I'm level 50 with two full playthroughs (completely solo). This is how bad it's been for me... I just beat the warrior in True Vault Hunter Mode and he died in a spot where pretty much ALL the loot (if there even was any) was in the lava. There were 3 shitty white weapons I could pick up... THAT WAS ALL. There wasn't any ammo or money or ANYTHING. I've killed Saturn numerous times, hunter helquist, you name it. These enemies don't drop shit. I don't know how people are getting these awesome weapons.

Oh, and both playthroughs were done with the Vault Hunters Relic (increased rare loot drops) equipped for the ENTIRE time. What a joke that thing is. I'm pretty much convinced if you want good loot, you have to play in a group of 4 and hope they like to share.

At level 43, all my gear is pretty awesome. It's all purple/orange level 38 or so to 43. I've only played solo.

Re: Borderlands 2: "xbox360/ps3/pc" -2012

I guess I'm just incredibly unlucky then. The game goes through stages where your weapons seem good for a few levels, then all of a sudden ALL the enemies are one or two ranks above you and your stuff is weak again. Now that I'm at 50, all my stuff seems pretty inadequate. FYI, after you beat the Warrior in playthrough 2, all enemies become level 49-52. And I mean ALL. I'm just running around trying to find decent loot at this point because I know I don't have anything that will work on Terramorphous... and I'm dying more now than I ever have. It's pretty unenjoyable at this point.

I'm with Scott on this being flat out "unlucky"....I've got Maya at level 37, Gunserker at Level 18 and Mechromancer at 16 and not a single "Orange" item yet. And most of my playing has been with co-op where we do get more drops and more XP.

By the way Scott and whoever else has Mechromanacer, if you need a hand while playing the Mechromancer I'll gladly bring mine in. Two of us has played ours together in coop and it's just insane amount of action going on. it's almost like four playing instead of two.

Re: Borderlands 2: "xbox360/ps3/pc" -2012

I haven't seen an orange item yet. I did, however, learn that you and your friends can rank up very quickly by doing the Tiny Tina mission where you go and get the guy and bring him back. Instead of bringing him back just kill him and have the other person stand next to Tina and restart the mission and kill him again. I was getting a few thousand points about every 10 seconds or so. Went from a level 0 Mechromancer to a 31 in about 30 minutes.

that's obviously if you have a player with nothing and a guy who is at that point. i imagine if you are just there regularly, you could level up a few times, but not that much.

Someone hacked the PC version and maxed out the VH Relic to see what it did. IIRC, all that did was get rid of white weapons. The thinking behind it is that it's not 5% chance to get a rare item(as any reasonable person would interpret it), it's a 5% chance to get something other than a white weapon.

So yeah, essentially worthless.

Just made itmthrough the first playthrough. Weapons i was using were a dahl decimator and a fibber.

Only had one orange drop which was a turtle shield at level 18. Didnt get taken off til level 32.

No great sniper rifles.

No great smgs besides the moxxxi ones.

Re: Borderlands 2: "xbox360/ps3/pc" -2012

I like this game a lot but I'm ready to be done with it. The traveling from point A to point B has burnt me out. I think I have three more story missions to complete and I have no interest in the DLC.
