Since Amazon still has their $20 credit, I'm seriously considering pulling the trigger today. What type of time does it usually take a week for this type of league? If I do give in, I know I'll be the punching bag as I've never been a regular for Madden or NCAA.

I like to run a low stress league - recruiting can take 15-45 minutes per week ( depending more on how much you time you really want to put into recruiting - you can do recruiting an any computer don't have to do it on PS3) Plus you can set so that recruiting is done automaticly for you (not recommended) .The 1 weekly game itself usually clocks in between 30 minutes to an hour (depending on your tempo and play selection). If everyone gets done early I sometimes will advance early - but I keep everyone informed as far as what is going on.

Also rumor has it that it is possible that truly complete FREE rosters may be ready this weekend ( there are usually updates for the 1st couple of weeks).. However I will still not be Starting the Dynasty until that last week of July early August timeframe. I think everybody aready has it in their hands or have ordered it except for flhype (he told me he will pick it up this weekend) and nicholls82 (I don't remember when he said he was gonna get it).

If Shumway passes, I'd be willing to get in on it. No biggie if you don't need me, I'm not that good. I'd like to be Illinois or Oregon, whichever works best for you as those are my favorite teams.

Of course, this is assuming the head to head games would be played during the 8:00-11:00 PM Central Time window. I got little kids so it would be hard to play earlier and then obviously work makes it going much past 11:00 difficult. Maybe I'm too high of maintance anyway.

ANyway, if you need or want another one and the other options you have fall through, let me know. No hard feelings if you don't need/want me.

Go for it LostFan. I know I wouldn't play the game outside of this league and I already spend plenty of time playing BFBC2. If you have any other of the PS3 games the community here play, feel free to send us Friend Requests. The current usuals are currently Battlefield Bad Company 2, Call of Duty:Black Ops, and Warhawk. Also, several of us just picked up Burnout while it was on sale and a good number already had it.

Thanks, looking forward to the league. Hope I don't embarrass myself too much. Got a mercy defeat last night playing when I was down 38-7 (ironically, I scored first too) in the 3rd quarter, but then I was Florida playing Oregon and fell behind 14-0 in the first quarter (and I thought...here I go again), but lost lost 14-7.........got into the Redzone when I turned the ball over on downs with less than 30 seconds left. I got some pride.

Re-updated the tentative schedule with Illinois thrown in the mix. In case you are wondering VT vs FSU and Michigan vs Illinois arent happening because they are conference games and I can't change the conference schedule unless I start moving teams across divisions(it becomes a mess) . The new tentative schedule gives everyone 5 head to head games and the possibility of a head to head conference championship (as long as you handle your business) Notre Dame gets 7 head to head games but no conference means no championship game.The Big East will add some teams (surprise) to make it into a 12 team conference with a championship game to be played at Lincoln Financial Field (outdoor) or the Carrier Dome (indoor). Also the Big 12 has no conference Championship game.

Also I have yet to hear from Digi as far as whether his is definitely in or not. I am leaning to think he will not be in so I need to keep a lookout for a replacement. Anyone interested in being a substitute throw your name out there and I'll keep you posted.

Sliders are the way the gameplay can be adjusted under settings.

QBA = Quarterback ability

5/55 = user controlled ability / AI controlled ability

Seems to me when I pull up the slider menu I either put it at 5 or 55. The other numbers made sense... you know, just one number.

Does this mean we're starting soon? I'm looking forward to being some of your doormats. If you got a head to head game with me, you're in good shape. I'm only 2-6 online so far this year (although 3 of my losses were 'lost connections' when the score was tied or I was up). I've been blown out of 2 games bad, but I'm pretty decent in the close games.

My PS3 had the YLOD. Nothing to worry about though because I will be picking up a new slim tomorrow and dropping off the old phatty for repairs so I can do a system transfer. I will download the rosters tomorrow. I wan't planning on sending invites until next week sometime so that everyone would have some time to set up their preseason. has nicholls82 picked up a copy yet?

I never really understood what the YLOD actually was. I got a new slim in March, am I in danger of it? Is there something to protect against it?

What do you mean set up our preseason? I've never done online dynasty in anything before. Don't we have to be invited into the league to have access to our preseason?

Just won again online........two in a row! Still have a .333 winning percentage, but I got momentum. I'm in midseason form already. Just need 6 wins to be bowl eligible!

YLOD is an issue with the phatty PS3. Overheating is what causes it . I haven't heard of any issues with the slims. I picked up my slim last night and dropped off my phatty for repairs. 10 days to 2 weeks for me to get her back. :(
I will send invites out and the first week is actually the preseason. You get to look at rosters , set your depth chart and do make sure you are ready.

So I will be moving on with the assumption that digi will not be joining us in the Dynasty. Since yawmush was showing interest before Lostfan joined up I'll give him dibs. Are you in yawmush and what team do you want.

Also @ Lostfan - I should give you the option of Oregon or Illinois - I will make either one work.

Ok, I'm in. Just ordered from walmart.com since they still had their $25 gc deal. I'm either Texas or Auburn. Whichever will work best (I would guess probably Auburn since there are 2 other SEC teams already.)

@ shumway - Which do you prefer? Turns out Auburn plays both UF and LSU on their schedule and Texas or Auburn would just slide into TAMU schedule. ( no work really for me either way) The advantage would got to Texas since you wouldn't have the 3 way jostling for the SEC Championship.

The other thing I was thinking hinges on what Lostfan wants to do. He asked for Illinois or Oregon and I hastily chose Illinois since it fit easily into our schedule. I realize that I should have given Lostfan the opportunity to choose whichever team he really wants especially since Oregon is a better team (right now). I was thinking if Lostfan prefers Oregon to move them into the Big 12 so that he is across a conference against a Texas or a TAMU. That way neither team is left out of a head to head Championship game (as long as they handle their business). If Lostfan prefers Illinoios that is fine also.

I'm really fine with whatever works better for the group and conferences and scheduling. I've liked the ducks since the Joey Harrington days, but I'm from Illinois and will always bleed blue and orange. If you want me at Illinois, that's cool. If you want me at Oregon and in the Big 12 that's cool too. It honestly doesn't matter, I'll play with either. Just don't make me Mizzou or I'll lose every game on purpose just so I can laugh about how bad Mizzou is.
