Sad to hear about the delay BUT.....looking at this newest trailer....it's going to be well worth it. And note the entry comment.....This trailer is shot with 100% in-game footage

Looks like Wii graphics. Kind of expected a little better. Will see how it looks next year.

The graphics look pretty low-rez, but I think it's actually just the video. I bumped it up to 720p and full-screened it and noticed that even the non-game titles and logos were badly pixelated. There's no way the final game will look that rough and jaggie.

Well, you have to say Gearbox knows how to put sets together. No bad looking at all and the Borderalnds 2 Ultimate Edition is a killer.

I wonder if you get some of the quirky one-liners from Hudson. And the Flamethrower will be pretty cool. It think the game will pan out

Re: Aliens: Colonial Marines (Gearbox, Sega) - Spring 2012

I can deal with lesser graphics. I'm more concern if we're finally going to get a real Aliens game. From what I've seen so far the look and atmosphere is closer to anything we've seen yet on the console. And with Gearbox in control I think substance will be very important and not rely on just the name...Aliens

I thought the Aliens VS Predator game on the Atari Jaguar did a good job in capturing the atmosphere.

As much as I wanna love this game, that footage looked like, at best, a first generation 360 title.

Re: Aliens: Colonial Marines (Gearbox, Sega) - Spring 2012

The gamestop guy said "How does this fit in with the trilogy?"

Aren't there 4? Or is he just choosing to forget Resurrection like just about everyone else?

I will say one thing though, while the gamestop guy sounds like an idiot, Pitchford sounds like a huge Aliens fan. This could make up for the fact that right now it doesn't look all that hot. If the story is great it might be worth it still.

Most like to forget #4 existed, also from a timeline point, it's a few centuries in the future anyway.

Give me a good story and an edge of your seat tension like the AVP pc game was in the 90s and I'm hooked. The graphics don't look that bad to me. We'll see...I'm not completely sold yet either but I have hope.

Hopefully this game will answer all the new questions raised in Prometheus.

so I guess the Aliens blood isn't acid anymore? evidently not, there is no way you can shoot them at point blank range and not get tons of acid on you.
