It would have been funny if Sega sold them a few million GD roms for their systems

Well, either way nintendo gets what they want, they just want people to talk about nintendo and get the word out. Judging by this thread it worked as that is almost all anyone can talk about.

Can't wait for Need For Speed: Quicktime Events Unleashed

I was so hoping it would say triangle and then the next prompt was like Y. Now that would have been a Fail

First video of the Wii U in action. Some of the features look cool (the drone video to see an overhead view of the map on the controller). Others not so much.

why buy a wii for the kids when i can buy an xbox 720 that will have blu ray, netflix, kinect and kids' games?

Because you might want to watch a movie while the kids play a game. :)

if it's all on the main TV then i'm screwed either way

and if i put a wii in the kids room then it needs to stream netflix. and if i put blu ray in there it's easier to just buy one system. in which case the xbox will even do IP TV

It would be pretty badass if the next Xbox could play in multiple rooms like DVRs can nowadays.

That's just what I expected, and not in a good way.

You have to select weapon upgrades on the controller's screen and then flick them at the television to take effect. What's the point of that? It's just unnecessary and will probably prove annoying after a while. I'd much rather just scroll through upgrades and select them on the television screen.

The drone video and map feature are cool, I guess, but that's something that you could just as easily do on the television screen. There's no reason for it to take place on a separate screen.

Not to mention you can see the guy playing it having to look back and forth between the television screen and the controller's screen during gameplay. What about that seems like a good idea? He's clearly getting shot in the process and it takes away from the main action of the game.

I really just hope they give us the option of using the Wii U controller or the Wii Remote for most games.

Or better yet (IMHO), the Classic controller or a new incarnation of it. How about a new version that's fully wireless? As in, not tethered to the remote.

They supported the classic controller about as well as the vital console. I don't see that changing with the WiiU.

I agree. Felt the same way about that Kinect demo where the guy was putting his gun together using "Minority Report" controls.
